  1. too posh for drifting? that's a nice problem to have
  2. thanks for the reply. nice MR2 looks clean. I do like that the sitting position is low - it's a good feeling for driving imo but if it is even lower compared to the supra, that must be something else altogether! Mine has that veilside wing which is somehow hated unanimously by anyone ever, but the thing is, after I did the paintjob and the top blade was painted black, it looks VERY good and fitting. some of my friends who told me to "take that ugly thing off" now said it was really preatty and flowed into the design well. I do think supras are made to have wings and also don't forget that in the rare event you go past certain speed, a good wing will do its job and stabilize the car
  3. Is that MR2 in the last picture yours? if yes, is it turbo? I've sold my daily recently and waiting for a black rev2 turbo from japan, so I'm looking for any kind of input on what it's like to drive compared to a turbo supra...
  4. had a respray done on mine and decided AGAINST removing glass for the fear of soemthing going wrong. I'm glad I did that and even though the paintjob isn't perfect at the edges on some places, it would be a nightmare getting a spare rare glass or even worse - the wind shield :| excellent stuff. keep it coming
  5. will do actually, the tuner also suggested to bin the AIC system, he said it is old school in a bad way and bit too crude for safe performance. Just got Tein Flex Z Coilovers as the old HKS leaked (3 out of four) and no one here wants to rebuild them, plus the shipping cost to japan and back and the refurbishment cost is higher than a new set of Teins shipped to me I'm also in a process of doing some maintenance work on the body (have it respraied at the bodyshop). I'll get some things sorted out, change the fluids and such and then start the standalone ecu/better fuelling thing...
  6. thanks for the suggestion. Will be doing just that after it comes back from the bodyshop...
  7. lovely wheels. really like the classic looks. I say restore them. as for the color for center sections, a good old gold could do the trick. if not, black or white might also be an option. edit: also, you should always use some kind of sealant for wheels like these.
  8. do they work though? I mean has anyone tested it on high speed runs? (I mean 200km/h -ish speeds). I've seen videos of some random wings breaking off cars while in motion...
  9. excellent car! I also had the same kinda problem with license plate placement, except I decided to put it on the car, not take it off: I'm not sure you're willing to drill some holes into the bumper, but if you shape the plates good enough, they almost look like bumper stickers and don't spoil the lines of the car...
  10. excellent read! dunno why, but somehow helps muster some confidence in regards to working with mine
  11. NICE! I'm going to do something similar to mine, only I chose Lamborghini Balloon White instead one question - are the front arches rolled on the car?
  12. I don't mind parts being everywhere, but I have some reservations when it comes to walking in a place were the ground is sticky and you have to throw out the shoes afterwards
  13. So, as you already may or (more likely) may not know, I had a white supra RZ imported from Japan about 5 months ago. It needed some cosmetic work - spoilers cracked here and there, some surface rust, arches need cutting, wheels corroded and discolored and so on... Now that I've found the time, I decided to make it look a bit nicer it looked something like this: These pics were taken after the first and the last wash it got since arriving to Georgia from Japan here's how it looks now: Had some ideas on swapping the front bumper for a stock one, but I've forsaken that thought as soon as I tried to lift this Bomex "masterpiece" with my hands - it is barely 3-4 kg. It feels very light and I highly doubt the stock bumper would be as light, besides - it doesn't really look that terrible and stock front bumper wouldn't quite look right with that giant Veilside wing which I LOVE because it is so ridiculous, especially that little antenna hole Anyways, the car will get a full respray in Lamborghini Balloon white; The headlights will be polished and clear coated (by me); The wheels disassembled - lips polished (by me) and the middle sections repainted in a good healthy gold shade (not by me ). I'm also waiting for new Tein Flex Z coilovers, as the HKS hipermax D coilovers had gone really bad. Three out of four have completely leaked, basically leaving me with 320WHP cart will update the thread with progress pics...
  14. Hey you guys. Had a "pleasure" of visiting a local Breakers yard recently and was amazed by the views. I decided to make a little video and show you anyways, here it is: That little bit of audible dialogue you hear someone speak on the video is profanity. no wonder though - these guys had to walk there for some inexplicable reason (I myself got (almost) new flex disc for my W211 E55 AMG for something like 30 pounds). Oh, and if you're guessing what's on the ground, then let me enlighten you - it's all kinds of oils and liquids that are found in cars. needless to say, nothing ever grows there This is what I imagine an auto dealership would look like in Mad Max universe, only it is like a one giant dealership for all the cars (mainly Mercedes) Do these kinds of places look the same where you come from?
