  1. PM sent reference payment for Air Con Radiator
  2. Yeah I hear you Jamie. I really need a diesel estate though which limits me to Audi A4/A6 (which seem to fetch a rather hefty premium) or a Jag maybe?
  3. Mileage does seem rather high for 10K Cheers Mr P, I'm very edgy about cars that people have messed with (obviously present company excluded, besides you've gone way beyond 'messed with') Just found this one that looks a little more like it: http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201048374341027/sort/priceasc/usedcars/fuel-type/diesel/transmission/automatic/body-type/estate/engine-size-cars/3l_to_3-9l/maximum-age/up_to_5_years_old/model/5_series/make/bmw/page/1/postcode/pe68pr/radius/1500/keywords/m-sport%20leather?logcode=p
  4. He guys I'm looking at buying a BMW 530D touring as my daily driver and wondered what the opinions were of this particular one I found, price, year, milage, etc: http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/2223221.htm Hopefully some of you may have some experience and a better idea than me?
  5. Can you Pm me a price for the aircon rad and pipes please?
  6. I'm assuming these are bilsteins fitted with ride height adjusters from someone Summit Racing or ECS. You'd need to know who made them and contact them, or get some machined up. Do you have a photo so we can see exactly what setup you have?
  7. Used a similar kit from MachineMart a while ago to remove a pretty deep scratch on my drivers side window. It used an abrasive disc to remove the scratch then a liquid polish on a fibre wheel to polish it . Worked perfectly although was nervous as hell doing the first stage to remove the scratch!
  8. You could try contacting Chris Wilson as I believe he is a Bilstein dealer.
  9. That's the worrying thing Swampy, you really wouldn't suspect any problems looking at the exposed sections of lines. I can't stress enough the importance of actually removing the plastic cover and checking this section of pipe/tube, I was amazed at the level of localised corrosion!
  10. Only six months ago Swampy, to be fair the lines all looked fine wasn't until the the plastic cover was removed that I found the problem. It didn't start leaking till I started to remove the cover either so all appeared, on the surface, to be fine.
  11. Just found this same issue on my car luckily off the road for a ground up restoration. I would just like to point out that my lines looked absolutely fine from front to back, until I removed the plastic cover on the rear cross member. When you check yours make sure you have the cover removed! These are a few pics I took whilst under the car, sorry for the quality (iPhone) these are with the subframe removed.
  12. Cheers Smarty, scary thing was the rest of the lines looked absolutely fine, don't like to think about what might of happened had it not been off the road! I guessed it would have been covered already, but just wanted to bring it to everyones attention again as this seems to be a serious problem that I'm sure will happen on most of the supras out there sooner or later unless dealt with. Glad the pics are useful too.
  13. I'm sure this has been brought up before, but I feel obliged to do so again. Whilst in the process of doing a ground up renovation of my supe I noticed one of my rear brake lines was massively corroded and on closer inspection actually began to leak. Thank God it was off the road. I regularly check my supe including all brake and fuel lines, they had shown no signs of corrosion until I removed the plastic cover over the rear crossmember. This apparently provides a perfect environment for corrosion. I strongly recommend that all of you check (or have someone check) this particular location ASAP!! See the photos below for location and what you may find:
