  1. I'm highly tempted for going na-t route with my car but i have a two questions. How does na-t engine with stock NA compression drives compared to 1jz/2jz-GTE? I have never driven that kind of engine before. Second question is more boring one, what happens to MPG in the longer runs when not playing?
  2. Somehow irrelevant rant isn't it? If you wanna play you have to pay. In a way or another. High hp car is always expensive. 400hp Supra seems to be a quite reasonable, it maybe doesn't impress keyboard warriors but who cares. You build your car for yourself. Anyway, is someone strenghtened their w58 gearbox? Yeah i know that it is expensive, but so is r154 and v160 boxes too. And they are old box and there is always some risks to buy some second hand parts. Another question: who has installed that Whifbiz na-t kit? How it does drive? Dyno graph in their web site looks good, it has good torque and it seems to have a nice top end. I don't know how that translate for real life tho... - - - Updated - - - How much it did make in dyno?
  3. Short answer: no. Not enough cars to flood US markets. Remember, there is rising demand in both Europe and Japan too.
  4. Hard to say. North America magazines did get 0-60mph in 6.0 and 6.2 second when car was new and they were good drivers. Now cars are old and drivers are soft MikeJZA80 i think is a forum member and here is his video about his little bit of modified n/a sup YouTube video. Grain of salt and so on.

    Non turbo

Hi mate! Yes, you can make a few things. Changing headers (with 1st decat) and tuned ecu makes the most difference and they are best bang for buck mods. Doesn't cost a lot but gives you a nice motor. I agree with evinX, make sure that your engine 100% healthy
  6. Hi Keron. I have a one set of not-se-good ones. Interested?
  7. I'm going obx (or at least same kind of) aftermarket header, and i can't recall is there a place for that sensor. Need to think about this.
  8. Can you tell me what is the third sensor after the first cat? I know that there is a 2 o2 sensors but third one is mysterious.
  9. Thanks mate. Need to think about it. Good looking engine bay, well done.
  10. Hi mate! Can you use a standard heat shield with OBX manifold?
  11. Well damn, you have a beautiful Supra. It is a hardtop so it is the most wanted model for them. Don't sell it
  12. Well maybe he tell us what he is looking for. Going to turbo is far more expensive way and it has few downsides too. Well see. If he is after the most bang for the buck, changing ecu could be a good bet in a stock engine. Changing stock ecu to aem with basic tune did give 18whp and a lot of more torque after 4t rpm. Torque curve improved in every rpm. Another good thing is improved reliability (stock ecu is old) and he can used it in the future if he makes more modding. Dyno and tune video: Edit: Now i know what kind of car he is building. Camshafts and cam gears could be the solution because they give a little bit of poke but also change sounds for better. Good for showcar for sure.
  13. Sorry my bad english, but i did wrote that 2jz-ge non VVT-i is stronger than 2jz-ge VVT-i. I can't say about that dyno, how high it reads etc. But in their website there are differend dynosheets from differend is300 setups so you can go and compare the differences. This particular is300 has all the bolt on upgrades, they are written in video description. To be honest, i don't find those parts that expensive or labour intensive. Good sets of nice wheels can cost more.... I think i know what Hellboy is after. Reliable daily driver with little bit of more oomph. If he wants to change cams, it would be wise to change exhaus headers in the same time and tune that ecu. I'm sure he can feel the difference. Changing adjustable cam gears could be a wise move too and maybe new valve springs. If he eventually goes to turbo route, these mods are not wasted as he can use them later. I'm personally in the middle of some kind of project so it takes a few months before i can give you more reliable information about gains in hp and performance etc. But Herb has fully build n/a motor so maybe he can give little more information about this topic.
  14. Keep this one stock! Must be a very expensive car in that condition. How many they did produce these vvt-i models? Few hundred? Looks great
