  1. Does the Supra not have a Hot Start Vacuum Switching Valve? The Soarer 1JZ does. On the Soarer the HSVSV switches the reference for the FPR from the manifold to atmosphere (remember that the manifold pressure is below atmosphere when starting) when the engine temperature is hot. The purpose is to increase the fuel rail pressure for hot starts to reduce the lean mixture which would otherwise be caused by the percolated fuel which has been sitting in the hot rail. With exactly your symptoms on a Soarer 1JZ I would pull the reference pressure hose off the FPR with the engine idling, stop the engine and see how it starts 5 minutes later.
  2. Really. toyodiy works perfectly for me.
  3. As I understand it only the owner of a plate and the car it's fitted to can put the plate on retention. If you try to do a vehicle transfer and a plate transfer at the same time something is bound to go wrong. If the owner wants the plate then he'll have to transfer it to anther vehicle or put it on retention before you buy it. If he doesn't want it you can do whatever you like (keep it, remove and surrender it or remove and sell it) after you own the car.

    Europe

You think! Demographics of the UK in the future With the removal of the foreign youth the UK will return to a more balanced age demographic The Contribution from migrants to tax payments How does that help, all foreign workers do is transfer money from UK employers to the UK exchequer when they pay taxes yet some of the money they keep gets sent back to Romgariary to renovate their houses over there. That's money that's leaving the UK economy forever. The REAL cost of immigration on benefits Any benefit payed to a non-UK national is a drain on the benefits system. I have worked abroad for a good part of my life and have never been entitled to benefits funded by the country I was working in. The legal benefits of EU control over these crazy conservatives How can anyone accept control of our government by a parliament elected by foreigners? Free trade agreements We had them before imprisonment in Europe, we'll have them again afterwards. Difference is they'll be negotiated entirely in the interest of the UK (and we won't have to buy French apples). Cultural integration How is that an advantage, we have our own individual culture and should fight to keep it. Farming subsidies - reducing costs (you think the conservatives will give the farmers the same - not on your nelly) We pay more to the EU than we receive in subsidies, it should be easy enough for any government to match the current level of support. Scotland staying (who else ill we have to invade?) Scotland won't benefit from leaving the UK to join the EU alone. The minority of Scots are always complaining about control from Westminster, how do you think their majority that voted in favour of government from Westminster will feel about control from Brussels?
  5. Good news but take it easy with the celebration just a little. I've been in a similar situation myself and whilst the sun may be shining right now it will no doubt rain again later. Best to keep something aside to provide an umbrella when necessary.
  6. Hang on a minute. Isn't it always being said that the only reason that the French can't deport these migrants back to where they came from is because they have no paperwork and therefore they can't be identified. Clearly these 4 have been identified so why aren't the French fulfilling their obligation to assess the rights of and subsequently deport those that have entered France without the appropriate permission.
  7. I would think that the first thing to do would be to check the level and condition of the fluid in the gearbox.
  8. It's more complicated. The shifter does have switches to signal to the ECU and the dash, these you could re-wire. But more importantly the lever is physically connected to the spool valves in the gearbox which select Drive, Reverse, Park etc.
  9. I would have thought that a Helium balloon would be the best solution. Sure the wire would be taken to an angle (and a catenary) by the wind but the same would be true of a quadcopter type drone unless it had Autonomous control and GPS or some similar position keeping system. The power to straighten the wind generated catenary in a 350ft wire would be quite significant.
  10. Fitting kit is not the same from J spec to UK spec (completely different) but the handbrake arrangement is exactly the same.
  11. Chaser and Soarer wiring are very different. Soarer has all ECU plugs on the engine loom. Chaser has 2 of the 4 plugs on the body loom which makes it a bitch to sort out.
  12. How does it get to 600 BHP with what appears to be a stock turbo setup?
  13. I've never understood this one. Why do guys want to put the 1UZFE into the Supra? I own three very similar Soarers, one with the 1JZGTE VVTI engine, one with the 2JZGE engine and one with the 1UZFE engine. I keep the 1UZFE because it's #821 of only 872 ever made with the fully active suspension but TBH for performance it's beaten by the 2JZGE which is lighter and has a much better throttle response. The 1JZGTE VVTI is in a totally different league. The 1UZFE is so damn expensive to upgrade and parts are much more difficult to get so for me sticking with the existing 2JZGE would be a no brainer.
  14. Of course Corbyn and yourself have the right not to sing the National Anthem and not to wear a poppy as a symbol of respect and remembrance for those that gave their lives so that Corbyn and yourself could have the right not to sing the National Anthem or wear a symbol of remembrance. Please consider the hundreds of thousands that gave their lives so that you can do the more important things that you'd rather be doing.
