  1. Very interesting. I was just out checking my levels over lunch and I have no, none, nil, nada stuff in my coolant resevoir. I've opened the radiator cap and it seems full. The hose checks out OK. Any idea where I go from here? I actually thought I've noticed a burning smell over the last few days...but I could just be imagining that.
  2. Where do you guys get your Supes serviced up there. I spend a lot of my weekends with family in Arbroath and would like to get mine serviced round there. Not impressed with whats on offer around Glasgow service wise.
  3. Thanks for the help guys. I've just ordered two "budget" tyres for 234 nicker which my bird is well chuffed about...NOT!!! Still cant get them fitted till Thursday so am now on the scrounge for alift home, and into work for the next couple of days. Bloody Goodyear. Bloody Nails. Bloody Supras.
  4. Thats the impression I have. And thats what the suppliers seem to say. From the spreadshhet at the link above. 518644 265/35R18 97Y XL EAG F1 (ASYMMETRIC) FP EAGF1AS 03/01/2007
  5. thanks for the tips guys, but the search continues. Hawleys dont have any in and wont send to Glasgow anyway. Mytyres have them, but will take 4 days to send out. Bugger Blackcircles will do: Falken GRB FK 452 (Extra Load) 265/35 R18 Y £140.81 fully fitted or the remarkably cheap Fullrun HP 199 265/35 R18 W £87.54 fully fitted. Not being a speed merchant, my bird thinks the cheaper ones will be sound....however I'm not so sure for those odd flashes that I get when she's not there. Also Bestbuy tyres are showing: 265/35R18 97Y GYR EAGLE F1 GS-D3 MASERATI REAR XL at £190. they are busy at the mo but does the Maserati sh*te mean anything? Cheers
  6. Thanks mate. just for the future, any idea when the Asymetric replacements are going to be available? No one seems to have them yet, but have got rid of all the ones they're replacing. Gutted at having to get rid of a perfectly good F1 with loads of tread on it. However, looks like I'm gonna be looking around for someone who can fit a set of something or others TODAY as I need the car. Having a look around for a decentish cheaper option, but the priority is to get someone to just come in to work and fit them for me really. Preferably ASAP.
  7. Hi, Have just got a puncture in my 265/35ZR18 97Y rear Eagle F1 tyre and cant find a replacement anywhere. I usually use blackcircles but they say its being phased out and they have no stock at all, and neither do any of their suppliers. Short of buying 2 new rears as they both have a lot of tread on them is it OK to mix with another type? I know you shouldnt mix and match but how bad would it be if I just bought a single other brand tyre? Or should I just write off this option altogether. Financially I'd much prefer not to have to but 2 new rears obviously. I've managed to get the car into work and tried pumping it up with one of them car lighter pumps, but to no avail. Anyone got any ideas where I could source a single from that could be done today? I'm in the Glasgow/Hamilton area and have tried Kwik fit etc to no avail. Even tried a mobile fitter who haven't bothered to get back to me after telling them what I need. Any help appreciated Cheers Billy Oh, and I'm really not sure about puting the spare 15" one on as apparantly there are spacers on for the 18's so have no idea how this would affect things. Also the cars better off at work for any replacement during the day.
  8. A mobile Chris Wilson - now we're talkin. I'll even let you have first shout. No need to thank me.
  9. Ok. I'm in Uddingston Geo is in Kilwinning Jive is in Hampshire Andy T is in Hampshire I wish Chris W was in Uddingston.
  10. Obiously not checked your Paypal accout yet then
  11. The car was serviced at The Garage at Christmas and hasn't really done too much mileage since. In an ideal world I'd like someone to take ownership of it and just come back and say "we'll I recommend that you need to do this and that, then later on you may ned to do x and y". What I dont want is droping my car off and then someone looking at it for whats best for them. and a couple of days later things seem back to normal. Sorry, I didnt know about the meet, I really would have liked to attend. I really need to have a check out of other Supes to see if mine is performing poorly. I've sent you PM mate.
  12. Ssshhh!!! She reads this site
  13. Good point, well presented I'm just outside Glasgow. I know The Garage but want to try somewhere else.
  14. I've just been able to get a grand to spend an my 94 NA and am in a bit of a quandry as to what to do. I've go a few things I need to have done to the car. The front bumper is cracked/scratched, and there's a quite a large stone chip in the bonnet. But the main problem is that I think the car needs work on the mechanical side of things, but my very poor mechanical knowledge means I haven't really got a clue. I'm pretty sure the cars not performing as well as it used to. And there's justa feelingthat i get every now and then that things arent right with it. I also think the suspensions very hard and clunky and just "doesn't feel right". I guess I'm after some good advice at to who I could drop the car off to and know that they would have a THOROUGH inspection of it, and come up with the best way to get it running optimally, for the money I have. I know a grands not exactly a lot to be spending on the car, but I'd rather have it spent on things that NEED doing to impove its running than just on the cosmetics. Any advice appreciated. Ta. Billy
  15. Well, its certainly put my mind at rest that its not a fault. However, it seems kinda weird that the car would be designed pretty much sleek in all other areas, except for these bits. And its actually bugging the hell out of me now that I look for it everytime I go to get in the car. From the front it just looks like the doors haven't been fitted properly, even though its not part of the door system. Really really getting on my nerves now.
