On my old NA I had the following set up - OBX stainless manifold (very thin bit too raspy), Whifbitz 2nd decat (2.5"), Whifbitz 3" single box exhaust. Opened up the top end and sounded awesome in my opinion. Lost a bit of bottom end though. 2.5" system is best for an NA.

Running before you learn how to walk comes to mind. The sheer amount of buffoons that attend the Ring have put me off. Too many rich dicks in powerful cars who don't know how to handle them and inexperienced drivers pushing too hard too soon. Went to the Ring a few years back with some very experienced drivers and had an awesome time. Didn't get to drive as my car was off the road but my mate took me round for a few hot laps in his modified RS4. Unfortunately a guy died on the track the weekend we were there. It deserves a lot respect.

Really wanted to make this month but unfortunately my piece of s**t car dictates otherwise. Have a good one people maybe see you next month.

I had a stainless manifold, 2.5" decat into a 3" single box system (Whifbitz). The increased noise isn't for everyone but I absolutely loved it!! Among other NAs it was very quick and a lot of fun. There are some great NA turbo kits now which are definitely worth a look if you aren't considering selling up and buying a TT.

Save up for the turbo upgrade! As many others have already mentioned sort out the chassis first. Wheels, stance, handling, brakes etc. You can also start to upgrade other parts in preparation for the upgrade. I had a pretty much stock NA a while back - MODS = Stainless manifold, 2.5" centre section into a 3" system (fully decatted with one silencer), BC Racing coilovers, wheels, brake upgrade (discs, pads, fluid and braided lines). Everything else was cosmetic - LED dash upgrade, steering wheel, gear knob, smoked indicators etc. I never had the money to even think about pulling the trigger on going turbo but it was super fun to drive and made me smile.
