  1. So a few weeks ago I had my Aristo V300 (full BPU) at a dyno for power runs. The guy running it was struggling with the autobox but eventually figured out how to get a run. Looking at the graph though the top end looks very strange. It dips significantly around 5k rpm, climbs, then dips again before climbing at the end of its revs. Could this be a problem with the engine, autobox, or tyre slip (I thought I could smell burning rubber)? The power figure was 352HP at the crank, which isn't terrible, but I was hoping for ~380HP. The car pulls very well on the road, but does seem to run out of puff a tiny bit towards the higher end of the speedo. I dunno, just looking for opinions on the graph shape really.
  2. Let me rephrase, if id seen your reply earlier Yeah id thought about the gs300 rad, but its probably not up to a bpu engine.
  3. Ah man, if only you had said a few hours earlier. I just got a stock one from a breaker on ebay. I'll keep this in mind though.
  4. Hi all, don't suppose anyone is breaking a mk2 aristo? My radiator has started weeping. Haven't tried rad weld yet but don't really want to be running a rad thats been bodged up either!
  5. Is the ecu still available? If so would this work on a mk2 Aristo TT auto? Planning long term to go single but on a bit of a budget
  6. Cheers for the info guys, I think we're going to meet up on thursday I'll be gutted when he drives off and I have to get a bus home!
  7. Through pistonheads. I thought it was all legit, but you just can't be to carefull nowadays. Cheers guys!
  8. Hi guys, I might have found a buyer for my car, but he's saying that he lives in Sweden. He seems genuine enough but he's asking for the cars VIN number amongst other things. This is what he sent me in an email : "I need the car's VIN number, Reg. Number and The car's Weight and Power that's on "the paper," this is what my insurance company needs to register a temporary Export/import insurance. So I can drive it home. We have a little different system with the car being insured instead of the person using it. :)" I just wanted to know if anyone has dealt with exporting a car before and if this is indeed how things work, or if he's a scammer who wants to clone my car! Any help or info would be greatly appreciated
