    Need some work done

I checked those out and the tuners are a little beyond what I need but the transport costs.... OUCH! I have managed to locate a local one called 'Westfield Motors', was set up years ago by the guys from Wickford's Toyota Dealership, when it closed down (First place I ever saw the new Mk4 Supra oddly enough). They had 2 Supra's already for work, Black one that's just had an engine rebuild and a Silver one with a bigger Ouch on the back end than mine, might even be members... Going to have a good chat with the owner and see what I can sort out, if he can fit me in amongst the Sup's and GT3000's

I'm near Southend. Was just crash damage (fiberglass damage only) but after a long fight with Insurance It's developed an engine fault after idling 10 mins, knocking noise from top of engine that sounds too deep to just be a broken valve spring etc so is beyond my meagre equipment and facilities.

I guess these are too old for specialists to still be around. Thompson local time... *shudder*
  4. Anyone know if Supraloopy is still in the Supra repair business? Read he was set up in Hadleigh which is on my doorstep but it's an old post

    Should I?

It's not proper custom candy anymore. Had a woman back into it a couple of years ago and after a 22 month fight the old girl got resprayed in the new mazda soul red (production candy). It's not as nice as house of colour but not too shabby. If only the insurance company had argued further It would be in the latest mazda red which is darker an much nicer. sod's law. To answer an earlier question, I bought the car at 72k, so I've done 133k behind the wheel, 5+ times around the world and every receipt down to the last wiper blade. Failed me once cos I didn't tighten up the battery terminal enough, so a whole 10 min delay that time and impromptu hand signals on the dual carriageway. Breezed through an MOT again... I'm determined to get some use out of her this year and have managed over a hundred miles this year already. There's not many things on this planet without silicone implants that put such a smile on my face as this but none with such a low yearly outlay . BTW, what's the guitar formatzero?, Sunburst Fender Strat here. Always wanted a Gibson electric blue but out of my range now
  6. I've owned a UK spec Supra 19 years now. The Interiors seen better days, the blitz Z1's need a refurbishment, unique bodykit is pristine, however. Ultimately the UK's are getting sought after and I don't get to use the old girl much and when I do i'ts most certainty not for the intended purpose. I am seriously wondering if the 'ole girl deserves a better and higher budget owner than I can provide. she costs me less than 1k year to keep on the driveway waiting to arse-milla an M5, I guess the 'Real' question is, am I too old to bother anymore, should I make way for the up an coming generation that appreciate these cars how I once did.
  7. Just been reading up on that, can't make July's as i'm on 12hr shift but will keep an eye on the calendar.
  8. The old girl was out and about only yesterday
  9. Indeed, but i'm a hoarder so still have the original Toyota ones in the loft. They've got 130k on them so a once over at Midland turbo and the old girl will live again
  10. Ok, thanks guys. I just hope they arn't afflicted with a heavy Toyota markup too much.
  11. In a nutshell it's looking like my hybrids (yeah i know) have finally let their seals go pending a few more checks this weekend. If they do indeed need replacing I'm siding towards new oem's but I'm not sure if they can cope with infrequent 1.2 bar boost, as i'm fully decated. Before anyone says it, definately no to going single, I get far too much use from the sequential system as a commuting daily driver.
  12. Seen this one a few times now, she's not one for waving back so mostly likely isn't on here.

    A 511pra

Was only going by the info DVLA gave me, i just took a look on the website and they still only have a sold price of 700 listed. You might want to get them to update that since anyone can go on there and use the service. I hope the one I asked about never appears in the auction now, no way i would pay for it just to be open to bidding :O
  14. Sold! About time i replaced it since mine broke 4 yrs ago. PM me payment details m8

    A 511pra

It's true the other plate sold for £1750, this one however sold in late 2003 for £700. I enquired about this plate from DVLA a few years back after originally enquiring about N511 PRA which was never registered. Was told 12-18 months before it goes to auction... still waiting
