  1. taking the head to a specialist tomorrow:D hope it can be saved
  2. okay i got my hands on a fresh block a set of oem pistons and full clevite bearings set,, guess there is no way around it,, in a year or two i can go forged rods and pistons,, but can anybody tell me if the head i salvageable??
  3. it got mapped last year running 14-15 on idle , 14 on cruise and 11-13 wot depending on load,, so dont think thats the case. but will you say its time for new block, pistons and baerings ? and what about the head thanks for the help
  4. hhmmm,,,, the guy i got it from, has blown a set of j-spec turbos I've heard,, perhaps its debree from that ?? it then got a set of uk turboes and has been runing them for 2500 miles then i converted to singel last year, runing stock fuel this time i'm doing fuel, clutch, and mapping to see what it will do,, then i see this when doing ARP studs and head gasket pretty gutted to say the least
  5. haha yeah the money,, ehh is kind of an issue, but i guess i can wait til next year to get it on the road. the markings in the pistons, could they be from det ore debrees in the engine ?
  6. i took it apart to do steam seals, springs, retainers, cams, just easier with the head of ,new gasket and ARP studs new fuel system going in also, , and i wanted to inspect everything.. im going for 600+
  7. took it apart to cange head gasket and and studs,, this is what it looks like.. its been running strong with no probs at all,, and was around 450hp there is scrapings on the cylinder walls that i can feel with a nail do i need to build a new block ? thanks.

  10. thanks for the help:) i will remove the head and scrape all metal off from outside the bearings and just give it a god clean,, i have new steam seals/ springs/ retainers and cams going in anyways will make installation much easier with the head off.. thanks again kris
  11. no big groves in any of the caps or seats, seat is not worn oval just looks like it in the picture,, really hope your right hartmann

I was going to upgrade my cams when i saw this.. the car had a new oil pump installed when i got it dont know the reason for this ?,, oil pressure is about 6-8 bar at idle when cold and about 3 when warm, i always let i warm up before i rew it and so on,, i have driven it about 4000 km since i got it 3 years ago, the caps look worn to me but dont know how they are supposed to look ? and there are some metal pushed out to the edge,, can this bee repaired or do i need a new head:( ? any input appreciated. cheers kris
  13. what happened with the white kdw supra ,, i remember alot of trouble when the car was stolen an all that,, did i end well ??
