  1. car in bangor belonged to an old customer of ours. Full BPU and in very good condition. He owned the car for round 4 years before selling it last year. Paint work was a bit bad in places hence its new respray. When it first arrived in the country it had an incorrectly fitted AFPR from another garage which resulted in a few melted pistons. Bottom end was replaced with a built block. Car was always serviced and was a summer driver only, hence why it was sold on.
  2. FT1 = Toyota only project New Z4 = Bmw and Toyota Joint partnership - the link just posted
  3. Was the car fully up to temp when this happened, i.e. system bled and thermostat fully open? Already some good diagnosis advice been given here. i have seen this on a few occassions. 1. Engine Oil cooler fubared - Oil under pressure will pass into water passage and so into cooling system. Bypass coolant pipes and turn engine over - dont start (remove efi fuse) as were assuming just water contamination. Oil will pass out off coolant outlets on cooler when cranking produces enough oil pressure, 2. Auto oil cooler in rad - again bypass cooler and loop pipes (they are not under pressure), Flush rad before checking again. 3. Very rare case of Turbo housing Coolant channel fracture in which oil passing from centre bearing into coolant channel. Yet to see this on a supra though. Would there have been a very very very small remote Possibility that Oil made its way accidentently into cooling channel on block when engine was being worked on, a full coolant system flush after checking above may be worthwhile. Other than that its going to be a head off and inspection
  4. Hmmm i know that car from somewere
  5. Miles..... it was a "rebirth" of the AE86
  6. Correct, Ft-1 Design concept is totally irrelevent to the Z4 story. Bmw/Toyota partnership involving the Toyota Hybrid System II is over 3 years old now, and without doubt they will release a vehicle but as said countless times in the press and media, and by toyota themselves, this will not be a replacement for the Supra. Dezi Nagaya said in an interview regarding the GT-86 that any new true toyota sports would be powered by a gasoline engine and not a hybrid when he talked about the 3 future vehicles - the small sports car, the medium (gt-86) and the larger. On another interesting note, back in 2007 there were 2 concepts commissioned by toyota from Toyota's Europe Design Development ED2 and Calty Design (FT-HS) - Toyota eventially took its styling cues from Calty for the the ft/gt-86
  7. Ok Toyota, thank me later, just get it built https://fbcdn-sphotos-d-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-ash3/t1/1016360_823209957696513_48144146_n.jpg
  8. They also say the concept is sized 110% to make it more dramatic looking, so at 100% the wheel size and stull will come down
  9. 2010 saw the IS-F go to a true mechanical LSD as they ditched the "intelligent Diff" or 'just apply brake pressure to left or right wheel' due to customer feedback. So toyota know a true LSD is the only way forward. Transmission via stock ecu control has been holding up well in Nitrous applications, it was also the transmission used (in standard form) behind the TMG650
  10. As said earlier, this is the 2urgse engine and aa80e trans also found in the IS-F (and our project supra) , which is currently toyota's most modern and powerful power plant (apart from the l-fa engine) and latest technology transmission. Now, Toyota Motorsport GmbH (Those who were behind the Toyota formula 1 development) have already taken this engine to the next level via modern turbo technology, and built the TMG650 to showcase their development work in production cars. the 650 stands for 650bhp..and was showcased at Essen last year Merge these 2 toyota devlopement projects togather...and bingo
  11. maybe this Vid which shows it driving confudled me lol 5:00
  12. From all the Vids at detroit, engine uses dual intakes which are usually favoured in modern twin turboed V applications
  13. All generations of supra had a hate or love reaction about certain design aspects, even the mkiv front design was seen as ugly by many at the time being 'Renowned for its ugly headlights and laughter inducing spoiler'....seems that the love hate trait carrys on with this and be it love or hate it generates interest
  14. have said its the Classic front engined rear wheel drive layout
  15. they keep hinting and mentioning the classic Straight 6 layout, maybe they have taken the 2JZ-FSE design principals forward with todays technology...
