  1. Precisely, that's why I say it's a " scam " !! Basically you book through Great Experience Days who then book the experience itself via Drivers Dream Day who then book the track and bring along the cars. "GED" owes "DDD" over £50k in unpaid bookings and thus when you arrive for the event "DDD" can't let you go on it because you technically haven't paid ! "DDD" have tried to contact as many people as they know about to tell them that "GED" have gone into Administration but I was unfortunately not on the list ! If you try calling "GED" you will get a message which says something along the lines of, " we are experiencing a few technical difficulties due to unforeseen circumstances. " Unforeseen my arse, bunch of wan*ers is what I say !
  2. Over a year ago my lovely girlfriend paid £400 for a Ferrari / Rally track day via " Great Experience Days ". Yesterday we drove from Bristol to Bruntingthorpe, stayed overnight then went to the track. We were then given a letter which explained that " Great Experience Days " had now been put into Administration and unless I had paid by credit card ( which we hadn't ) I would lose the lot !! We paid £400 for the experience, £50 petrol, £55 accomodation, £40 food, day off work and will get nothing for it apart from feeling knackered, thoroughly pi**ed off and the car covered in crap from motorway driving in the rain !! If you have anything booked through this company for god sake ring the track beforehand
  3. Thanks everyone, I'll do some pumping later today
  4. My current tyre sizes are 235/35/19 front and 265/30/19 rear. I've read a few previous threads and people seem to recommend 36 psi front and 34 psi for the rear. I've also heard of 36 front and 42 rear ?? Can someone please give me your professional advice !!
  5. Thanks for all the responses and I also over-did-it on the sanding so muffler rattling is also annoying ! I've spoken to the bird and her friend is a local 'plodess' and she said that traffic cops can't do jack. Not meaning to sound in anyway camp, but during the normal trundle to work in the morning with the muffler out it does give you ear-ache every morning ! I think I'll continue with the Nova sound during the week then break the sound barrier at weekends
  6. Hello everyone, Just got the RSR and full de-cat on my NA and with the muffler removed the sound is amazing and extremely loud ! Unfortunately on the way to work yesterday I was pulled over by a " friendly " policeman who had a quiet word about the noise polution !! To avoid this I decided to put the muffler on today and to be honest it sounds sh*ite ! Just over 2000 rpm instead of a deep rumble my car sounds like a Vauxhall Nova ! Is there anything else I can do / can I purchase a different muffler / can I do anything to the existing muffler ??
  7. Once you floor the baby the sound just gets better and better, I thought the stereo may attract attention but without a doubt, whoever who you drive by you'll get a glance if nothing more than to say, " what the f*uck, my child has now gone deaf ! "
  8. oh my god, my ears are bleeding !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What a sound, started it up in the garage and couldn't even hear each other talk ! At idle it's a nice rumble then at roughly 2000 rpm your ears start to bleed, once you get past 3000 rpm the sound is as sweet as a TVR ...... I tried putting the muffler in so as not to completely p*ss off the neighbours, and after a bit of sanding to make removal easier it did reduce the ear-bleeding rumble, but then the bloody thing rattled slightly when the revs dropped - ah well, sod it, I tried my best but the muffler had to go Tomorrow morning I'll make a swift get away with "MANU" on so 2nd gear won't annoy the neighbours too much. ( I'm just so damn considerate ! ) Once I get on the main road however, beware small children and little old ladies cos the RSR is coming to get you
  9. The car is currently at the garage getting the RSR and full de-cat fitted - luckily they have given me a lovely white G-Reg Cavalier SRI, 400k on the clock and rusty as f*ck !! Anyway, they were kind enough to give me this whilst the Supe gets an exhuast it deserves. I'll post a new reply once it's fitted
  10. I will shortly be getting an RSR fitted included both de-cat pipes and most likely taking the muffler out - it's going on a NA so from previous threads loud is probably not the word for it ! In general it would depend on the backbox you have, Blitz NUR Spec R are popular but the RSR is the " daddy " when it comes to annoying the neighbours and setting off car alarms; can't wait
  11. Thanks for the replies and I can comment as follows :- 1. Fortunately I don't suffer from fat bas*ard syndrome so that rules that one out ! 2. I'll have a word with my local garage when they fit the RSR and de-cat pipes - to be honest though, once the exhaust is fitted I doubt I'll hear any squeak ever again !!
  12. Apologies but I can't do Saturday 14th now cos I've got to go to bloody Manchester for work !! Tried my best to get out of it but I've got no choice .... gutted
  13. A few months ago I started a thread about an offside creak at low speed - after lots of replies I took the car to Toyota who tightened up every bolt under the car as suggested ..... still the creak continued ..... As a last resort I bought some new KYB front shocks and at last the creak disappeared I was so happy ..... 1 month later and the bloody creak is back again !! How can this be, it was definitely the front shock, but why would it re-occur ?? Please help, it's doing my head in
  14. I've got an RSR and full-decat pipes on the way from Paul E and their going onto an NA - baffle free should be quite amusing for the neighbours
  15. Card and stickers for me please
