Don't need to sell, best buy ever, love her. 24 yrs of ownership.... she still ticks so many boxes. Insurance wise, thinking 50k to 60k ?
-
I paid £11250 all those years back, bargain so anything is a plus. more bothered about insurance value. Couldn't replace her with anything similar these days despite a good budget

Paul started following I've just earned a rank!? , Supra front windscreen , Vac hoses - options ? and 3 others

Mine blew out from the top, original Toyota but refitted after respray, shat the life out of me, 70 ish mph and slammed against the side.... never gone across 3 lanes so quick
-
So, 3 yrs on, has the bubble burst ? Looking to finally go classic insurance, still own. What sort of money is she worth ? Been kept in a dehumidified garage for the last 5yrs, same condition as the photos and sad to say zero miles added

Tempted to give Gates hoses a pop and hot form them, lots cheaper than Toyota and readily available, not rocket science and visually if they stay formed then job done.
-
Yeah, I the 4mm are fairly easy, it's the thicker formed ones that worry me. I'll give mr T a go for these
-
Out with the heat gun then.... pmsl
-
Spoke with local Toyota dealer, he will try to supply OEM hoses, the best option imo. If not available then looking at hot forming hoses with a heat gun as per video... my question is will the buggers want to revert to straight/kinks with engine heat ?
-
Some appear to be pre-formed though, my concern is them not crimping closed with bends

Years back I replaced my vac hoses with blue silicone ones, want to go back to stock. Now, luckily everything I took off the car I kept, got a bag full of hoses and spring clips. Looked today and they seem in reasonable condition despite being 28 yrs old. If it's wise to replace with new then fine, do Toyota still supply these (doubt it). Are there other options, the straight lengths of silicone aren't formed like the OEM ones so this is my concern. Also looking to put 'crimp' clamps or something decent rather than the spring clips.

Lovely motor .. coming up to 22 yrs ownership here !

I've got the lot including wallet

Waxoyl is better IMO, doesn't form a skin like underseal. I put it on an Escort RS when I had it new in 1990, found it via the RS owners club a few years ago and the underneath is like new still thanks to Waxoyl. Had my Supra done about ten years ago, could do with re-applying but has done well.
