  1. Another couple of years have passed with next to nothing to report: Went to another show in September 2021, car looked good and the Aventador lights were on. Fitted a Whifbitz headlight vent. Got hassle as I drove with said headlight vent and no plate so took the vent off and put a plate on for the first time in 6 years Sold the Work S1 wheels and put on some JR10s for the moment. Still have the CCW LM5T but want to tidy them up. I’ve also started swapping the Recaro SR5 back in place of the red leather OEM seats as the driver seat was fixed in position (electric with no connector) and I may be looking to sell so couldn’t have that. Also going to put OEM facelift rear lights back on. Not 100% on selling but with the Mrs now looking to drive I am looking at changing to something like a F10 M5 for when she is using my daily (Focus ST) and then I’ll work on the other Supra (‘95 NA-TT) on the side, put the red leather and CCWs on that one instead.
  2. A nice little read this. Did you get any further with the lacquer coating? The colour is nice - quite rich. Definitely a good investment at £350. I bought some OEM 17s in 2015/2016 for £300/£350 (would have to check) but they are 202 black. Given the way prices have went I should probably repaint them like yours and punt them on

Needing some more updates on this one please
  4. Numbers seem to be dwindling up here. I have a couple of the black Supras that Aberdeen houses, but neither were out and about back then. I'll need to do some digging
  5. Get them well sealed before they see a road and keep on top of them as much as possible - I’ve had Classics and LM5T both in fully polished finish and I can’t stress enough how much upkeep they require to stay looking good!
  6. I keep deciding that I am going to/should and welcome offers on it, but then I can't bring myself to actually do it. The offers have peaked at 55k so far, which is a great sum and would really be handy, especially with my family circumstances changing combined with hardly using it anymore. Something always holds me back from actually going through with it though - perhaps it is the regret I have had from selling a couple of really rare guitars and a couple of years down the line wishing I just held onto them as I'll never get them again unless I shell out way more; I guess the Supra and the ever-rising market is a bit of a mirror of that.
  7. Not a huge difference in price here for a VVTi V161 6 speed RZ/RZ-S compared with the pre-VVTi V160 6 speed RZ/RZ-S at the moment, but based on rarity it would certainly be nice if the prices shoot up. (The above statement is definitely not swayed by the fact I have a VVTi V161 RZ... )
  8. Got my R888s fitted to the Work S1 wheels and have since fitted them to the car; definitely pushing it and wouldn’t manage if I was stock arch. After cleaning the wheels up (and the rest of the car!) I took the Supra out to its first show in ages yesterday - Banzai at Crail. It cleaned up pretty well and won a show and shine trophy - delighted!
  9. The APR GTC300 does - I used to have one of them. Just make sure to fit foam between the base plates and the boot lid if you want to avoid scratching should you decide to revert back to stock.
  10. Yeah 1998 I was going into primary 6 I've had my VVTi single for 8 years, and the NA-TT for 2 years. Had my white NA-TT for 4 years before the single, so 12 years of ownership so far across all 3.
  11. I’m already running 18x11.5 +37 as I have flared arches, so I might get away with it. Will know tomorrow As for the interior, here is another:
  12. So the Aventador lights should be ready in a couple of weeks once final testing and reassembly is done. They’re looking good so far though! Getting my R888s put onto my Work S1 3P wheels this weekend so that I can gauge whether I can get away with them at their current specs or if they’re too aggressive. They are 18x11 +22 at the rear so they’ll poke 8.7mm more than the CCW LM5T do (18x11.5 +37) so I might have to relip them 1/2” narrower. I’m just currently torn on what to do for refinishing them. I’m thinking just fully bronze but open to suggestions. As much as I’d want fully polished it’s too much of a pain to maintain when living in the north of Scotland This is how the wheels are finished just now (on narrower tyres, so disregard the fitment specs of them in that sense):
  13. Not much to report in the past year or so - car has stood still for most of it! I had a feature in Japanese Performance recently (will dig out the associated pics) and had the car dyno'd - it made 574bhp / 544lbft. There seems to be something strange going on with the fuel/AFR based on the plots, so I plan to review the ignition and fuel systems, pull the trigger on a Syvecs (AGAIN! Did so before but foolishly sold it for paintwork) and see where I get to from there. Next step after that will be a change of turbo and cams; still keen on the idea of the Garrett GTX3852R Gen 2, which I think will also fit my current GReddy manifold. Oh I also have some Aventador LED rears to fit as well. They're almost done, just need to supply new housings for them.
  14. I would also agree with this - planning to discuss it with Romain and go from there. My understanding is that he is well versed in both, so I'll see what the consensus is and make a decision!
