  1. Anyone care to drop me a note of thanks for not going and making some extra room on the Club "stand" ? (or should that read Club "patch of grassy mud")? Reading the comments, I think I made the right decision - at least my fuel tank is still full and ready for a sunny day.............
  2. Weather not looking too promising for this Saturday........... and I've heard from a couple of others (different clubs) that they may abort their trip. Can't see how it will pan out with numbers attending and the programme of events - the drift cars could be the only interesting event in heavy rain! a98pmalcolm Oh and i assume I can leave when i need to as i may not be there the whole day. Weren't going to be blocked in or anything? Lol - I don't think the organisers will let peeps out until it's appropriate, according to their info......
  3. I've PM'd you twice so far, but the messages are showing as unread................. First PM reads..... Hi Lui- I only by chance found your posting to ask members to provide details of address etc for the Japfest passes. I did not get a PM from you, despite upgrading to being a Lifetime Member in Dec 2009 is it a) a possibility that there is a system error, b) I'm not on your list or c) I need to smack someone's legs!? I seem to recall a hiccup a few years back too..............should I raise this someone (who?) Followed by my address details......
  4. Seems I was lucky*/unlucky* - didn't get any PM's - not even Lui's original one asking for addresses * delete where applicable
  5. Lui.....have we heard for deffo where the Club Stand is to be yet? or is there still a committee meeting to decide
  6. Lui - paid just a few mins ago, 1 x car pass and a club stand pass please......it's all a bit like football transfer day deadline this, innit??!!
  7. Not sure that my low front splitter will make it up the ramp - I do have probs sometimes in multi-storey car parks, but not on every slope in the same car park 9it depends on the angle of turn and speed which affects the suspension height). On the trailer - where's the rear number plate......................??
  8. Not seen it around here before, would have waved as you passed round the back of the shopping precinct, but I was in my van at the time!!
  9. "WHAT SCARES YOU ABOUT YOUR SUPRA?" is the thread title which I responded to before Xmas, only to read the subsequent posts today, I think I should have changed my opinion of what I chose to vote on. I think my #1 scare would be to see a maniac driving a Supra as if he was on PS2/X-Box etc. Initially I laughed at n boost's first post, but on reflection now, I think he should re-register as "n boast"......who on earth would be so naive as to post a boast like that? Maybe too much of the cooking sherry prompted his tale of woe, and it became embroidered with a few enhancements to make it sound better. If that is not the case, and it was as he has stated, then all the above comments by those members appalled at his complacency of the situation are totally justifed. I wholeheartedly agree with those who have highlighted his contradictions in his posts. The best one is the fact that " I had the car in full control but didn't realise the speeds I got into"....a fantastic contradiction if I ever heard one!! Imagine what speeds would have been achieved when NOT in full control, wow!! Ok n boost, you've had enough of the jibes and felt the wrath of us members on here, but I'm sure that deep down you love fast cars. I just hope and pray that I never am in the same area as you, and that an exclusion zone around me prevails. Last week I had some stupid idiot of a driver trying to overtake me (on a B road) on double bends, in the dark, presumably to tell his mates he took on and won against a Supra. So whatever your next car is, test it first on a track, then consider fellow motorists and pedestrians when opening-it-up on a deserted road - at 138mph in the dark I very much doubt you'd spot a pedestrian or motorist in time to react to it. Your "special road" can't be that safe for you or others, if you are aware of others "using it" - for the same reason as you did? Maybe the Police saved your life............and returned the flow of blood to your brain. Oh yes, I did get done for speeding once, a few years back. I wasn't in my Scooby that day, I was returning from Tesco's in my little old runabout Metro, and got clocked by a white-van camera doing 36 in a 30 limit. How annoying, being caught the first time in over 29 years of driving "safely". As the owner of a J-spec TT auto, yes they are quick too, spool differently to single turbos, accelerate as sweetly as an N/A auto or manual (or sweeter, lol!)- and, after all, they are all Supras which is why we got what we did, and joined this site. Let us all know what you get next, so we can pin a picture on our visors and know what to avoid. Long live n boast.
  10. Shame there wasn't a way of scoring the options and rating them in order (ie 10 highest) so you could see the polled scores in real time........... anyway, for me speeding is uppermost vandalism second and (me) crashing third. Even driving my van in my day job means I'm constantly on the look-out for unoccupied camera-vans and the PC Laser-Man - dont really want to lose my licence as i wont get to enjoy the car, fast as it is, and effortless as it would be to find the top speed (its de-limited...........) I only consider the vandalism as minor dings and srapes, of the car-park variety, where stupid people can't park nor drive properly - I usually park over two spaces in car parks where possible (with one pay and display ticket of course)! I'd avoid rough areas like the plague if I had to park somewhere like that. Crashing would be cos i still think I'm in my former car (Scooby) which had outstanding roadholding - already had a brown-trouser moment in the summer on a damp roundabout by doing a 180 turn midway on it........oops! Got (much) better tyres now though
