  1. Would you consider selling the lower bracket?
  2. Cheers guys. I think I'm just gonna buy a new rail on this occasion.
  3. I'm on the process of digging out parts I purchased years ago so no chance of getting them exchanged. I have opened up my FIC injectors to see what they look like withvthe newly cerakote'd fuelrail and they are different diamaters. Can I just open up the hole diamaters in the fuel rail to accommodate them or is it going to be a case of replacement injectors?
  4. Its the bracket that attaches the damper to the base of where the AC pump is. Picture below borrowed from another post.
  5. Right then folks, it been a long time since i posted any updates and that is mainly because of a House move then a house extension and then covid ant then kids so the supra has been put well and truly on the back burner. This summer I have had some time and a little free cash so i cracked on with getting the engine completed. The hardest part has been finding all the parts that I put away in hiding nearly 10 years ago, but progress is progress.
  6. Loving this. I always wanted to do it with a volvo 240 estate.
  7. What's the point in them requiring the manufacturers address on the plates? It just seems pointless to me.
  8. My Property is already covered by CCTV, but i want lights to come on as an extra deterrent. The trouble with having a PIR motion detection is that the pavement is close to the driveway and will be constantly triggering the light to come on, and will probably end up annoying the neighbours.
  9. Any electrical gurus out there that can help me with this that would be great. I'm currently in the process of installing some security flood lights to the front of my property to cover the cars on my driveway. I have never really had much to say about PIR sensors as they seem to trigger at the smallest thing or not come on at all when you want it to. The only reason i want it to be triggered by a break beam is that it is then a dedicated system to be triggered by an intruder only and not a tree branch moving in the wind. My idea is to run a IR Break beam reflector across the front of my driveway at say 3 foot high as to not be set off by cats etc walking through the beam. The Break beams have an alarm/trigger output on them which i am gathering is to be linked into the house alarm to set that off to warn you of an intruder. Would it be possible to link that alarm function of the Beam Sensor to trigger the flood light via a relay? I can do basic electronics so when it comes to complex stuff I'm no electrician. Most of the sensors run of a voltage range of 10 volts to 30 volts and the floodlight would be running off the mains voltage. This is the sensor i'm thinking about https://www.amazon.co.uk/Quantek-Reflective-Photoelectric-Detector-Sensor/dp/B008EHJ0L6 I'm sure some one with some good electrical knowledge would easily be able to work out a wiring diagram and components in order to make this work. Any help would be great Gavin
  10. Transporter it is then. There must be so many people out there that have project cars without tax and mot's and have to get them to mot test centres. The whole thing is such a black hole you don't know legally where you stand with it all.
  11. Hey guys n gals. I have bought a car off a bloke from work 2003 audi a3 for 250 quid. The car has no tax or mot. The car is in Warrington and I live in Preston which is a 40 min drive door to door. Now is there anything stopping me from getting day insurance, BOOKING in an mot at a local to me test centre and driving it home instead. That way I have insurance to cover me just in case I get pulled over and also have the proof of a booked mot as my direct destination but then drive home and cancel the mot. If not I'll just book a transporter to move it.
  12. As the title suggests what's the difference between the two. I can see That there is a graphite grey insert around the internal lenses but that about it. Is there any other differences. Gav
