  1. Who said it was Branners ? Only kidding, really I hope she serves you well. Bizarre feeling, first time I've sold a car that I actually like, and Branners could not have been a better person to buy the old girl.
  2. Car is now sold Really please with the buyer and he's promised to take care of the old girl, and it's someone who frequents the clubs boards! Best of luck fella! Cheers
  3. Slightly different to my girlfriends Seicento I'm also buzzing about in at the moment and will be until my new eco daily driver is finished!
  4. Tyres have arrived and are being fitted asap, just short on time as I should be moving next week. Also ordered some new discs from steve manley as I noticed some slight pulsing at the front the other day, even thought they'd only covered a couple of thousand miles. That's the update for the moment. Cheers
  5. Hello... Sean can I ask did you own and insure your supra at 18 or just own one?
  6. How would that make any difference? With most brokers using credit companies such as Premium Credit LTD (Just about the largest) the policy is paid in full up front by the broker to the insurance company and then the credit company pay the broker. Cancelling the payment will end with bad credit rating and debt collectors! Again, just to confirm, apart from what is stated in the policy details refund wise, if an insurer honours the contract agreed by both parties at the start of the policy there is no legal obligation for a refund what-so-ever! Insurance policies are just a legal contracts straight and simple. Generally consumers do take it for granted that pro rata refunds exist and in an ideal world they would. With the market being so very soft at the moment many companies do offer fantastic rates but large penalties for changes or cancellation. I do sympathise with the low refund but these details should be available or provided as an FSA regualtion. It is not unusual for a broker to retain their commision if a policy is cancelled, as they have again fulfilled their obligation to administer the policy. In some circumstances such as replacing the cover they may be willing to use this against a new policy. ALWAYS READ THE SMALL PRINT!
  7. True Not true Brokers have to play by the insurance company's rules set out which is included in the small print generally with documents. Check this when you set up a policy and if you aren't happy try to exercise your 14 canx period or ASK when setting up a policy. Contracts are generally set up for a 12 month period based on the details supplied using the cheapest or most appropriate market at the time. Also as long as brokers stick by what is in the small print I very much doubt the ombudsman would be of any help. Technically there is no legal obligation to offer a refund at all if the insurer has fulfilled the contract as that is the LAW, but the fact that insurers give any refunds at all is a benefit for the consumer! Cheers Matt ps I don't work for sky
  8. Cheers for the comments, I've tried to be honest as I've travelled enough times to see a 'mint' car that is well under the mark. If it wasn't for it's occasional farting of smoke I would class it as mint
  9. Hey, Thanks for the nice comments. Just realised I didn't mention it has a tiny tiny oil leak that occasionally leaves a spot on the driveway. The smoke at idle, is just a very light colour and there's no mixing of water and oil under the oil filler cap. The smoke under boost is quite dark, but it's not dense at all. Nothing that's concerned me to be honest. I spent an hour writing out a pitch and by the time I posted I was logged out and lost it all. The car is also a VVTi Price wise I don't want to take the piss, if it was 60,000 miles and perfect I'd be asking £10k + Cheers
  10. I'm looking to sell my RSP TT as my daily commute is about to become 50 miles and I'm moving to a busy market town with no parking at all. I'm looking to sell in the next month after putting some fresh front tyres on. THE HISTORY The car was imported as new in 1998 by Brundle Toyota along with a few other similar cars, one was in Evo mag with one digit difference in Reg number. The car has been serviced by Brundle Toyota from new until the Toyota franchise was lost and it moved to even closer where it's been serviced since. My Dad purchased the car in 2001 with it having had 3 owners previously, and just over 20,000 miles on the clock. He owned it for 6 and a bit years with nothing other than a couple of aerial motors packing up. My Dad gave me the car last year as a 21st Birthday pressie, I think he thought it was a cheap way of getting rid of me! (I am very grateful I promise) THE UN-GOOD BITS There is some light very very light occasional puffing from the exhaust which would be a sign of aging valve stem seals, and under full boost there is some very slight coloured smoke sometimes. There are two tiny rubber bungs in the dash where there has been a PDA and a Gatso detector. Having to park the other side of Tesco's even if only using the cashpoint and the grief I get for it, and constant curtain twitching if leaving it on the road at a mates house. THE GOOD BITS The spec, pretty good for a JDM car. RZ-S Twin Turbo Tiptronic UK Brakes (Original) Black Leather Seats Smaller 3 Spoke Steering Wheel Twin Airbags Auto front spoiler Intergrated Fog Light (In Light Cluster) Pioneer MP3/WMA Player Kahn Split Rims Blitz FATT (Has been fitted for last 80,000 miles) VVTi http://photos-a.ak.facebook.com/photos-ak-sf2p/v116/148/109/513975421/n513975421_975664_4955.jpg http://photos-d.ak.facebook.com/photos-ak-sf2p/v116/148/109/513975421/n513975421_975667_5869.jpg http://photos-b.ak.facebook.com/photos-ak-sf2p/v160/57/103/680293409/n680293409_528657_4829.jpg https://www.hertsinsurance.com/rides/albums/userpics/10016/front_3quaters.jpg https://www.hertsinsurance.com/rides/albums/userpics/10016/IMG_4902.JPG Mileage is 113,500 and T&T is until June Many thanks Matt
  11. Hi, just thought I'd mention if it's only a third party claim you wont have to pay a bean, though you will have an NCB prejudiced claim on your record. Ta
  12. With occupations there is no secret list as almost every company will load and discount differently. There are a few things to think about though to give you an idea. Unskilled workers and blue collar workers are generally proven to claim more as well as people who go on site such as Labourers. Also for wealthier clients how quickly wealth has been accrued will have an effect, so lotto winners are quite shocking to insure compared to 'old money' clients. Also as it's been mentioned above after the 14 day cancellation period you don't really have any refund rights as such, apart from those set out in the contract at the start of the policy. Some contracts will also include no refund at all if cancelled mid term, so any refund outside of that stated in the contract I would take as a gesture of good will. Also with dropping the milage from 6k to 3k it is very possible that there is no further discount available, or the refund may fall below the minimum they will return. Cheers
  13. Why does it need 2 rev counters as it's an auto?
  14. It's only a garantee that the funds are there at the time of drawing it up I think.
  15. I cleaned mine and the car ran really badly stuttering and kicking out black smoke. I bought a new one and it's made the world of difference to the way it runs!
