Rory
Hi Folks I've been out enjoying my supra tonight, nice dry roads and quiet traffic. Anyway the brakes aren't great just now must be needing pads, what do you guys recommend for the N/A ? Looking for something reasonably priced as I'm a bit poor after this car buying lark lol. Don't need top end of market stuff, just a decent pad that doesn't give off too much dust. Thanks Rory.
SatSport
Ahhhh, N/A brakes fade big time! if you`ve a big enough wedge go for the UK calipers/pads, failing that Chris Wilson does decent performance pads for the N/A
Rory
Well when I said they aren't great it wasn't through hard use, they pedal just has quite a bit of travel on it and the brakes don't bite too much just now... should be just pads it needs hopefully. I'll have a look when I get a chance. I don't think I'll bother with a bigger brake conversion, I don't drive fast these days to be honest. Rory
Question : Will my N/A brakes be the ones described on parts sites as "16 inch wheel 2 pot caliper" ? Thanks
sdavies
A while back, mine went all spongey and then developed downright dangerous travel. Replaced pads, fluid, even the master cylinder - turned out it was the frickin ghey rubber hoses. When they get old they seem to expand dramatically under pressure (lost elasticity) - so most of the pressure was lost expanding the hoses. Goodridge stainless braided hoses sorted that. Any doubts about my brakes now are being answered with a 356mm 6 pot GReddy (trust) set of fronts (rears TBA).

Chris Wilson
Question : Will my N/A brakes be the ones described on parts sites as "16 inch wheel 2 pot caliper" ? Thanks Yes. I have suitable uprated pads in stock. £130 a full car set plus 8.80 insured P&P. I also have uprated fluid in stock.
