Guest sonic Posted February 15, 2007 Share Posted February 15, 2007 over the last few weeks i've noticed a knocking/grating noise under heavy acceleration in gears 1 - 3 and traced it back to the back end somewhere... i took a look underneath the rear diff and noticed that the rear mounts theres 2 holes for mounts but only one mount in them ( right hand side ) but it doesn't look like there has been a mount in there for some time , does anyone know if there is meant to be 2 rear mounts on the diff or is the second hole for an auto diff or getrag one ? and would just having 1 mount missing cause that much noise ? tis a mk4 na manual also , is suspension knock at low speeds normal ? haha Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
