Hi People,
Im looking to arrange a Supra club dyno day here at Thor Racing. We will be able to offer you discounted prices on power runs and we can do a maximum of 16 in 1 day. Plenty of space for parking around here and we can make a day of it - sort of like a mini meet :d
So if you guys fancy coming down, put your names down in the list and then I will post up possible dates for you to choose from.
We need a minimum of 8 to make this happen :)
Just copy and paste the list in the post below and add your name to it. Once we hit the minimum of 8 I will post up dates, and then if anyone else wants to join later they can add their name to the list.
It'll be great fun and a chance for a few fellow members to get together ;)
(Usual price for power run on 2wd vehicle is £60+ vat)
I am able to offer the following prices to our club members only:
8 cars - £50
16 cars - £40
You will also receieve a full print out and feedback.

Will the doors to the cell be open or closed? Will people be allowed in there?
I need to setup my PowerEnterprise CamCon properly - I can't really do it on the street. Is that something you could do on the day? Maybe I'd need to take up two slots or something?

The dyno cell doors will be open for viewing but people will not be allowed in the dyno cell area. You will be able to see your car being put onto the dyno and ran :)

We can set up your PE CamCon, but it would not be possible on the dyno day - purely because it will take longer than a regular power run, and will hold others up too.
We can book you in on another day to work on that for you mate, if I can help with that just drop me a pm or call me on 0845 260 57 60.

I really do not think it will be possible - When I mentioned organising this dyno day I was told that we do not carry out any sort of tuning work during the day.

Thats cool mate, I think we will go for 3rd as its fine with the majority and hopefully dandan and his family will be ok with this too. I am going to start collecting payments on Friday from everybody so if you have any other guys coming check by then and get them down on the list :)

Hey dan, I dont think it will be a problem at all. Its a supra club meet but I do not see any reason why we cant make them feel welcome too :) If they would like to join us then thats fine get their name down. We are going with the 3rd as pretty much everyone is happy with that ;)

I was also pm'd today regarding the boxhill meet, I had no idea it clashed. Maybe I will try and re arrange it, how does the following saturday (10th) sound to everyone? Only reason I say this is because we can not do this unless theres 8 minimum :(

However, might be interesting to see what my car is putting out, its standard TT with an old SMIC. Going BPU shortly, before i go single, so would be good to get one then and see the difference. I'll post the new dyno sheet after the weekend Jake ;) my Turbo had no Rubber seal plus another 3 boost leaks from the FMIC on the previous dyno run and that was only at 1.2 bar. The car is now mapped for 1.5 bar :cool:

I seen some quite good runs. There was a silver Supra, not sure who's it was ran 364 ish at the hubs, which was good. I was most impressed by Johnnyknox's who is running what appears to be your basic BPU and got excellent 413bhp at the hubs!!! Pushing the 500bhp @ the fly barrier.

Steve Sherwoods car is a serious contender for a TOTB entry for us.
Even an "optomistic" figure of 850bhp on Thors hub dyno, still puts it up there with the likes of Envys car.
It was running a 2.1bar map on race fuel.
And, he's a thoroughly nice fellow to boot.

I was most impressed by Johnnyknox's who is running what appears to be your basic BPU and got excellent 413bhp at the hubs!!! Pushing the 500bhp @ the fly barrier.

Great day and thanks to all, Steve Sherwood is a top bloke, the car has been dynoed elsewhere at 850bhp hubs, and he tests it at elvington as he is from Hull, the dyno run was unbelievable and the noise incredible, i was happy with my 267 hub figure in my stock Aristo.Peter Richards, genius he made the cars look new:)

Even an "optomistic" figure of 850bhp on Thors hub dyno, still puts it up there with the likes of Envys car.
Doug as stated though, he had it dyno'd elsewhere aswell and had 850hp figure. I spoke to steve on the phone yesterday and he had told me aswell that he had a figure of 850 earlier this week :)

What is interesting is that some people at the day who thought their cars were stock got a surprise, for instance Glosphil had a blitz ecu installed which he did not know about, unless you have a thorough look around them you don't know what those Japs have been upto!!!

It's not hard to see if he's got 440's or not, just look at the colour of the injectors... Don't need to be a tuning name to achieve that :)

I seen some quite good runs. There was a silver Supra, not sure who's it was ran 364 ish at the hubs, which was good.
That was me (364.9 rwbh - 349.7 ft/lb)
Just wanted to say what a Great Day, Cheers Maz.
the second time the car has been dyn'd @ thor (once before going BBU) so a good way for me to see an accurate increase (same test, same equipment etc is always good).
As discussed on the way home, everyone was so nice, and very approachable, and so friendly offering advise and compliments.
if only everyone in the world was like that, it would be a completely different place.
we sure do have a good thing going in this Club.
Couldn’t have asked for better weather. And Pete and the crew as always a real pleasure to talk too.

It would surprise you what BHP a BPU car can do, when all is done nicely. Whith hybrids, FMIC, twin spark, dragger and cats out witha very tight and fresh engine, I managed to get a little past the 500 mark, though it took three very big lads sitting on the back of the car to get traction. In view of this i think hub dynos are best as even 5% slip, which is barely noticable on the rev counter can rob you of BHP. All IMO of course.
my black car managed 473 at the hubs on hybrids,I would be thinking that is around 500fwhp? 650cc injectors,256/264 cams,fully rebuilt engine with HKS head gasket,HKS hiper,3" dp mp,HKS trac removal.
Probably true. My car has managed just over 295 at the rear wheels on low boost without the hybrids according to a recent dyno sheet, and that was on stocks with a poorly mapped F-Con but no idea how reliable that really is! Previous owner ran it on the dyno at Engine Advantages.
I'd be hoping for a good 350rwhp now with a new FMIC, Hybrid Stage 3's and Boost Controller.

A cracking day yesterday. It was really good to meet people from the club for the first time and hopefully I'll attend some more meets very soon. Everyone was dead friendly helpfull and had some good advise. Thanks to Maz and everyone at Thor. A damn good day. :thumbs:

I didnt have my car done but I wish I had. You did a really good job, the supes looked brand new when you had finished with them.
