Steet Candy car on Ebay

If it comes with a fully legit fully translated build report with veilside the actual companies guarantee with it then it'll be a bit better. When I was up for buying it there wasn't even a sniff of any build paperwork which is why I ran to the hills. Maybe I got it wrong but it was too big a gamble to take. I'll make do with my Do-luck aristo instead.

He has mentioned in the ad he's waiting on a build report from Veilside but whether he ever gets one is another thing altogether. This alone should ring alarm bells with someone buying.

Also I'd like to think that anyone in their right mind thinking about buying a £20k Supra will consult somewhere like here first. It's also quite a specialist type of Supra and only someone in the know would appreciate the value of the kit etc...

Fingers crossed ay?

Doesnt sound too good. Bloke I met last night just bought a Single tubby 600 bhp with full veilside kit aerotop built by envy for a bloke in leicester lovely flip coat paint job, the lot, very nice, gave 12k for it, what a steal. 90kms on the clock, lucky bugger. Aparently he nearly cried as he drove it away, wonder if its from on here.

Just about to ask what the history of this car is, so its a cut and shut is it ?

Get yourself a cuppa mate and read through the (very long) threads posted on first post. Basically yeah, the car isn't an Aerotop and started off as an RZ/GZ. They've just cut a piece out the roof and it has no real additional chassis support....

There is no proof that the job hasn't been done right, problem is theres also no proof it has. I would say looking at the photo's I have of the car that the whole A pillar and C pillar (rear bit holding the roof up) has been cut off an aerotop and the roof section complete has been welded in place, hence the stickers on the rear in that area and signs of work in the lower areas of the A pillar. It may just have supporting documentation but as it wasn't available from the first dealer that retailed it in Japan or the second one that made a rapid turnround profit on it in Japan I'd be very surprised if any paperwork did surface. The dealer in Japan was not very open about the conversion (ie didn't say a word until I mentioned it) and subsequently whacked it into auction to get shot of it. Bearing in mind the original price this car was offered up at the first dealer in Japan things don't look good for verification of a job well done.
