Just to give everyone a heads up on the MAP ECU II, we recieved them today and they are now in stock for a limited time as we do not have many left from the pre-order that was taken. The MAP ECU II price is $695 also posted on the website for more info.

We now have the Fields Replica harness which includes the MAP ECU II Pigtail pre-wired in together for Plug & Play, in stock for the the 93-98 US Spec. Supra, price is $450.

Do you do a total price delivered deal to the UK for both?

Are there any extras to be purchased to use the full feature set of this piggyback? IE timing control / boost control?

I'm looking to fit to a BPU+ spec JDM car with OEM MAP sensor - do you anticipate any complications over fitting it to a US market car with AFM?

Cheers,

Brian.

Hi Brian, we would need your complete address and postal code to get a shipping quote to the UK. But I can say it averages about $60-100 USD for freight.

The MAP ECU II comes with the universal wiring harness that allows you to connect to your stock ECU and utilize the timing control. There is a separate boost control solenoid available to run the EBC feature. We also have the PNP harness for the MKIV Supra for both US and Jspec versions. This has not been tested on VVTi motors yet, as we are sorting that out currently.

Just like the standard MAP ECU, we already have a map for the JDM Supra with MAP sensor running 850cc injectors. All V2.2 or 2.3 maps are compatible with MAP ECU II. I dont see why it wont work, and I know we've sold a few already from this pre-sale to the UK.

Thanks!

Hi Jarrett,

Thanks for the prompt reply.

At the moment my car is BPU+ with standard engine / turbos / fuelling (apart from Walbro) and I'm just looking to take out some of the overfuelling (I see 10:1 range sometimes lower on no2 turbo) to optimise my setup and maybe dial in some timing advance where possible. I'd also like to try for slightly faster turbo spool with the boost controller functionality but I want this really for future plans - I will eventually be going single but wanna see how fast I can go (1/4 mile) with the stock J Spec twins first.

Do you think I'll see reasonable gains? Also, what wideband would you recommend to link into the MAP2? I want one with dash mountable gauge as at the moment I'm using a v1 cumbersome lm-1 unit which I really need to replace the sensor on anyways.

So can you give me pricing on MAP2 with J spec plug n play harness (my car is non vvti) including boost solenoid / related bits and wideband, delivered to me in the UK - I'll drop you a PM with the postcode / address now.

Cheers,

Brian.

Hi Brian, Joe has received your postal code and is currently sorting out shipping details for you.

The MAP ECU 2 will give you about 20 WHP gain over the stock setup, mainly by leaning out the car a bit in the midrange and transfer areas. I would avoid advancing the ignition timing any past the stock settings, which are pretty aggressive for pump fuel as they sit. Maybe a bit down low, but do this on a rolling road and listen for knock carefully!

As to wideband units, I prefer the Innovate ones because of the reliability. I'll ask Joe to price them for you.

Thanks!
