ardasaliah
Does the ECU pick up fault codes when the car does not fire up? E.g when the car is on ignition 2 just before the starter engages? The reason I ask is that the my car does not start- (no spark) Before I had a chance to check for codes the battery went flat from all the cranking i was doing so may have lost the codes stored. Once fully charged should the ECU pick up error codes even if the car does not fire up -- Hope this is clear.

Ian C
I'm not actually sure, I think it must do as for example the crank position sensor has a fault code and if it goes the engine won't start or run at all. -Ian
ardasaliah
So- I have no codes then. What could cause the car from not sparking? Other then a dodgy ignitor.
