Just a quick one to test the water...
Would anyone fancy an Aberdeen meet?
Was thinking June July time on a weekend when it wouldn't clash with anything else. Was thinking about meeting up at a country hotel then maybe a country cruise then into Aberdeen to the beech complex for a few laughs before departing.
Have a few alternatives for entertainment as well......
Another quick question is anyone driving down from this area to the rising sun (May)

Thats as good a date to settle on as any other, my social calander is a bit blank for June - and July - and Aug etc ,,, lol

Really lookin forward to the meet hope it's a good turnout. If anyone has any good ideas of where to meet i would be pleased to hear them. I am thinkin meet at the beach then a run out to the Tilly Lounge in Newmachar for lunch but am open to suggestions.
Only downside to the beach is it's full of suped up corsas,pugs etc....
Beach can be a bit busy, meeting up outside the city a wee bit might be a good idea?

Wish i was on the gumball, 16th seems to fit with everyone else so far so think we will have to stick with it. If it changes will let you know.
I have spoken to the owner of the Newmachar Hotel and he has kindly said that he will close of the carpark for our exclusive use so we will have to get the lids open and see who's running what!!!!!
I am interested to see where all of our money has gone, you should be able to see my motor on an Envy thread soon and you will be able to see how i managed to fit the sale of my flat under the hood of my car......

Just been down to Newcastle to buy my Supra the day, should be picking her up in the next couple of weeks.
I'm still getting over the shock of actually buying my dream car!
I would have been up for a run up to Eberdeen as I used to live up that way in Peterhead. Now down in mighty Arbroath! Problem is I'm away to Canada for a couple weeks and don't get back till after the trip.
Loving ownership and the forum already I'll be looking forward to any other events/runs.

Mine goes down to Turbo Fit 30th April for its Single Install.

They went back to basics and becuse they had a good understanding of the Supra wiring were able to locate a dodgy wire coming of the ECU. It would appear the car had traction control at one time and when it was removed they made a mess of the wiring!
Going down this week coming to get Thor chip installed! :-)
Good luck with the single though with these guys on the case you won't need it! :)

3rd party f&t mate couldnt aford fully comp was still under 25 at that time but will get fully comp next time and get the screen done on the insurance then.

Congrats on the fatherhood and you are obviously very busy at the moment glad you are still gonna make the effort to come, when you are up I may have a few bits that could help you out with regard tyres etc speak to you then.
Just had a thought I am gonna have a lot of bits after my single install which will range from turbos wheels tyres greddy guage pillar pod manifold HKS fuel rail 650cc injectors FPR and loads more.
What do you all think about me takin the bits to the meet, not so much to sell them but so that when I put them on the forum at least someone can vouch for the bits.
Need to try and recoup some of the hard earned cash the car has eaten. LOL

18" will be refurbed before sold and come with michelin pilot sports.

I went the PHR route and it aint cheap over 4k in parts just for the turbo and fuelling plus labour plus ecu etc so not cheap. I am doin loads more as well hopefully keep it around the 10-12k mark

If anyone on the list can't make it please remove your name as I need to give the Newmachar Hotel an idea of numbers in a few weeks for the BBQ. I have told Grant (the owner) that there will be a minimum of 20 people for the BBQ, it is £5 per head I hope this is acceptable. Please now turn up as I have committed to paying the shortfall if we don't have enough people.

I have been in touch with a garage i have used in the past and although I don't use them for any major work as they specialize in impreza and evo builds they have said they would do a discount on the rolling road if we would like exclusive use on the saturday afternoon. I am still waiting on confirmation on price but thought I would see what the interest was before I said yes or no.
Also what price is good if we decide to do it and what questions do you all have with regard the equipment they use etc.....
I should get a price today so will let you know as soon as I do, they have a fantastic carpark area for those daredevils as well.

Pick up the Supra on Wednesday (30th); barely able to control myself. Still stressing about selling my Celica though...anyone want her?
If it is Wallace performance, I know for a fact they have a Dastek rolling road and will not be able to RR autos as a result.
The Dastek RR day I recently organised had a pretty poor turnout from the Supras partly due to this.

Rolling Road was a 'nice to have' only mate. The meet is the main reason that everyone is going. A nice cruise around the surrounding countryside (avoiding those annoying speed cameras) would be good if the weather is right. Maybe down the coast road?

I have investigated the crimond idea and although we cannot get permission to get on the airstrip (cattle are apparently using it for drag racing and it has a 10mph limit)I have managed to get us on an oval track owned by the same people. I am going up to have a look this evening so I will get some pics and post them on here I have no idea if it is suitable how good the surface is etc but I will find out tonight and let you all know. Apparently it is used for racing so should be ok.

This was the suggested route and it looks good to me and includes the crimond option. I tried to google earth the track but no resolution. Will still go and look tonight.
Edit: ok i can't upload the route plan but trust me it looks good 86 mile round trip with a stop at crimond oval and estimated time to complete without the stop was 1hr 50 min.

I can't wait to get her on a track and find out where the limits are. Eventually had the guts to get the revs up for the second turbo on nice dry roads this morning. I have a constant smile on my face. Been driving like a wuss trying to get used to the power though.

Eve as you can see the idea wasn't mine I just made the call took a while to find out who to phone but being a small place the local post office gave me the contact details. Turns out the runway and oval track is owned by a local farm and they were very keen to help us out.

I'm still hoping I can make this but as of now my car is still lying at my parents place with a broken BL autobox and me still waiting on a new one coming from the states under warranty :(
If I can make it I'd be setting off from Bathgate around 9AM to make it there on time.

If your motor aint ready you should take G10ECK up on his offer it should be a good day and I am sure once you get here there would be plenty other seats spare for the drive out and track side of things for a bit of variation.

I hope all is ok, I wouldn't have thought No.2 coming on or not could be an intermitant problem but I am certainly not the person to ask, I would post in the Tech section and get some educated diagnosis. Good luck!

I hope someone can also give me a few tips (at crimond track)on driving ,still not 100% on rear wheel drive after i spun mine about 4 months ago and smashed my alloys .always felt in controle in the old celica ,still a bit worried when exiting from rounabout in the supra ,not long to go now ,will have to give her some tlc to put the twinkle in her eye .:)

I have just got the dates for an operation I have been waiting for for a while and it is on the 12th June. I will get out the following day but not able to drive for a week which is going to delay me getting the car back and mean I won't have it here for the meet. I will get there even if I have to drive my truck but was wondering if for the drive out someone would be able to make room for a cripple?:rolleyes:
I don't want to put anyone out and if it's not possible I don't mind I can print up some route cards for the drive and pass on contact info for the track. I will be at the BBQ anyway.
I am gutted I won't be able to stretch the legs of my baby on Saturday 16th but I have spoken to Gaz at Envy and might pick it up the following Sat and follow him to Santa Pod for a bit of a drive.

I aint getting no snip!!! I hopefully will be driving after the op but probably not quick enough to get the motor picked up I should be alright to drive the Surf as thats auto so shouldn't be too bad.
I am having a hernia operation so probably be a bit uncomfortable for a few days, if it is possible to get the car then I will try and get down but doubtfull.

I seem to have spent so long slowly doing mine I found a picture of it when I first got it the other day, Gold wheels etc but now I have got fed up doing the gently gently approach hence the reason it's at Envy. Thought it would make a bit of a dent in the wallet but it's addictive and everytime I am on the phone with Gaz I seem to suggest more improvements..lol Original budget seems a distant memory It's almost doubled but so has the work so ho hum life goes on.
I must go and walk the dogs now the other love of my life, only 18 to walk so shouldn't take too long...lol

Sounds like your pressure tank seal has gone or the soleniod which controls the transfer to the 2nd turbo. Envy would be able to assist getting this fixed.

well tbh the whole road up to Aberdeen is full of speed camera's and mobile police units ive had trouble not so long ago with them.
So id say about 9.30-10 ish
We gotta go thru Aberdeen to get thru Dyce also and if its a good day it will be busy there.

i am going to miss this unfortunately, have to work 12 hour night shift Friday. i was supposed to be getting the night off but boss has changed his mind:( thoroughly pissed off. kslb if you have incurred any costs for this pm me and i will reimburse you.

Shame you won't make it never mind, no costs as the only expense is the BBQ and as long as there is 20 or more individuals which I am sure there will be I won't be out of pocket at all so no worries.

Hi folks. Just been to see my car in the bodyshop. Thought I was getting back tommorow but it looks like it going to be Saturday about lunch time now so no convoy for me. I'll just have meet you guys up there and put off getting the shudder looked at till next week.
Telling you if the supra was a woman she would have been dumped by now. Comands to much attention and money!! :)
