Black box under drivers seat! Any Ideas?

Hi there all,

I've been searching :search: around the car for the Delimiter/Converter for the speedo as the speedo doesn't work (behind clocks, drivers footwell, passenger footwell, behind all dash trim), but to no avail:( . Today I found a loom under the drivers seat with 2 plugs/sockets which I suspect are for the electric drivers seat (I have a bucket seat in) but also, a black box. Any idea what this is, or is it an aftermarket part?

Thanks in advance, :)

Nige.

I can't believe it's been, like 5 years that this question has been regularly asked, yet still no-one in the club knows what it is.

Can't somebody ask Toyota or something?

The guys at Sextons removed mine when fitting my new alarm and they said it was simply the stock alarm. It's currently sat in my garage collecting dust.

no idea about the "black box" you get them on planes though:idea:

as for the delimiter thing id suggest taking it to an import garage as they delimit them and change the speedo over from km's so id guess theyd know where it all was?
