good video.....why did they put those undercar neons on there for?? :(
does anyone own that car on here??? :)
This is great. As well as the review being broadcast on my birthday in 1993, this video plays on my ancient Apple Cube with OS9! Excellent. Thank you :)
good review in my opinion.
Tiff seemed to cover the main aspects of the Supra, althought in my experience the gearbox from one Supra to another feels very different.
He decribes a 'spongy' feel to it, which I did notice on one Supra I drove.... but where as my own UK spec has a nice direct feel to it.
Shame there was no track or 'spirited' drive shown on the clip and the neons were not really required I thought but overall I liked it.... good video.

A disappointing review to say the least. In the hands of the Stig, we would have seen the Supra's true abilities and even though Jeremy would have shat all over it, the Hamster would have given it proper kudos. A shame they let such a sally do the review. Even Rob Sheffield drives more spirited. :d :stickpoke

Good find to all involved, when it was mentioned in other threads I was wondering if it would ever turn up.
Now that it has turned up im a bit disappointed that theres not any crazy screaching-tyres-round-a-track-action but glad ive finally seen it!

Although Top Gear is mostly panto these days thank god for them because that car would've been shown to it's true potential.
I can't believe the differences in car journalism from then to now.
Perhaps that's why Top Gear has been criticised so much for their hunger for speed, they are only showing the cars skills accurately.

The issue is that in 1993 that was the format of car shows. Occasionally they'd let Tiff loose on a track but usually in a 911. I remember him doing Oulton Park in an NSX with the tc off!:D

great vid tho... couldve used an under ground garage like the one on the vid.especially if it could be plummed into my clifford remote as well!!
With the traction control off it still holds the road?????
obviously he didn't push it much.
Good vid though did remind me how bad the light washers look!

Nothing to do with journo styles, but Tiff is a real racing driver and he would thrash JC on a track. The feature he did with the ("Japanese Ferrari") NSX was to show how "good:D " the tc was, but then he switched it off to show how "good" it is switched off.

Its good to see a video from around the time i was born...well two yrs after, but id really like to see Jeremy Clarkson review a 3.0 twin turbo as they are now with people changing them here and there....And then let the stig take one around the track!
Although this would be unfair because all the supra's now a days have different bhp it would be nice to see the supra on the board along with the 911, F430, Enzo and possibly beating them!

Id agree with that, get a modded one off here and race it next to a lambo or something, and see what wins......

My mates got a 944 Turbo and my supra's NA is not to far behind but when i pull into the pub car park on a summers day just after him, the black supra gets all the girls going silly and there men wanting one!
Even next to a 911 it stands its ground on looks!

Wow, how Top Gear has changed! Good find, but a bit of a boring review. He sounded so excited (not).
I wonder if when they release the new Supra that they'll do a comparison like they did with the Civic Type R. I'd like to see how the old one stands up to the new one. ;)
