Rayman
At what part of the guage does the fuel light come on? Last week i was driving around on relatively low fuel thinking "well the fuel lights not come on yet so ive got at least 20miles" Just filled up this morning and up until i filled up the light still hadnt come on and the guage was showing under the very last point(as in minus). Any ideas, should my light have been on, could it be broken. The gauge works fine all other times, 50 odd quids worth fills it right to the top. Ian W
should definitely have been on then mate. iirc it usually comes on just after you hit the red part of the guage (approximately 1/8th of a tank left i think).
Mike B
(approximately 1/8th of a tank left i think). My light was coming on early - but eventually found out that it was a fault on the needle; it was not dropping far enough... found out when I rean out of fuel If you car has had a new fuel pump or it's been in and out then you may have knoced the sensor. Rayman
Argh so i was lucky then i guess, i must remember to fill up with 1/8th of tank left then, i think its something as simple as the light bulb gone as everything else appears normal with it.
