imi-7
I have just bought some Xenon bulbs from ACEparts in Kent for my '94 Non-Turbo SZ. However, I have found that the 9005 65W bulbs fit OK into the dipped headlights, but the 9006 55W do not seem to have the right fitting for the High Beam (the bulb housing seems too big compared to the standard fits). Has anyone got any advice- have I put these bulbs in wrong way around? Also, how do you change the side lights- is it easy? Thanks
Pot
Is the the fix where snipping is required?... (Never done it myself, only remember reading about something having to be cut out...)
Fifty
9006 are a different diameter at the centre and wont fit 9005 will fit but you have to trim the 3 lugs down a bit AND modify the loom clip by cutting away the 2 ridges. Its all here on the site ; search for bulbs m8 Rich
imi-7
Silly question, but whats a loom clip? (as you can see I have no idea ;-) ). Thanks
Fifty
its OK ;just the wires that plug into the back of the bulb holder has 2 slots in it that mate up with the bulb holder I had to cut em away to get the clip to fit Rich
imi
for Jap lights 9005....I didnt need to trim anything, straight fit. Ideally the size is 9006J - but 9005 does the job.
imi-7
Thanks. That accounts for the dipped lights and Beam, but how do you replace the Side light bulbs...is it easy to do?
