looking at a JL audio 12W3, but ive been told i need a sub that will do 4 ohms when the voice coil is hooked up so which one am i looking for then

i take it i am looking for the D4 version?

I think if you want to run it as 4 ohm because it is Dual VC you need the twin 2 ohm one like the one you were looking at.
