RedM
Drove the TT to work today. It's the first time I've ever worried about staying on the road. The road from our house to the main road was slippery enough. Drove along using auto-creep as even breathing on the gas pedal made the ass wobble. That's the problem with RLTC. It doesn't work until you reach a certain speed! Half a mile from our house is a steep hill and I noticed people coming down it very slowly. Sadly, we had to get up it. That took two attempts! Then a car ahead of us got taken out on a sharp bend by an oncoming car which was facing the wrong way! No-one hurt it was one of those slo-mo slidy crashes. All this in less than a mile from home. I wear I don't know why I didn't just turn back and wait for a bus.
RobSheffield
Sounds scary Martin, but the bus might have struggled

RobSheffield
All the bus drivers around here are loonies....they just mash the accelerator and hope it will be ok! Fortunately all of Stagecoaches buses are that knackered they dont have the potential to damage anything!
RedM
The boss of Yorkshire Traction lives in my village. I always feel obliged to ask him why the buses around here are too wide for the roads. The council actually lowered the pavement in one 3/4 of a mile stretch to allow cars to go on the pavement when buses are coming in the opposite direction. RobSheffield
Yorkshire traction are a LOT worse round here...they are the sort of joke option! I cant help but think of the owner as a sort of Fred Dibnah type of chap! 'Boss, brakes have gone on one o't buses' 'Be rate laddie, back in my day we didnt have em'

Supragaz
Was first time I have driven my TT in the snow and used the 'snow mode'. Wasnt brilliant but was better than I expected. Kept me nice and steady through the dreaded black ice!! Found it impossible when I had the SZ with auto box and no traction control!
bodilx6
What do you mean by 'snow mode'? Do you mean NOT turning of the ETCS? (it has become the standard drill to: get in, turn the key, turn OFF the trac... )
Stonkin
the facelift models (not sure about before) have a snow mode feature, that turns the car into a gutless slug.
Sheefa
Snow mode must only be for facelifts, I'm pre and don't have it but the RLTC Wet setting works OK.
