This may sound a silly qst..but i was thinking of taken my headlights out, unclipping the glass and spraying them black to look like the facelift ones....but im betting its going to put the headlight beam out as the reflectors are gone ???

you'll be fine on the reflector side of things as they have there own self sealed lights inside the main headlight, also the beam won't be out as you wont need to touch that area.

you might have fun "un clipping the lens" though as they are bonded in pretty well. the edges will need to be heated to soften the glue, but don't go too mad as you will risk melting/warping the plastic.

hope that helps :)

Mate, don't bother. It's a nightmare job and after you've got them back together you'll probably find that they they keep steaming up because you couldn't seal them properly. Well, that what happened when I tried to do it.

New UK spec headlights are about £128 each or get GZAeroJon to refurb your old ones properly. He does it for a very reasonable price.

At least that way your sunday roasts won't taste like melted plastic for the next three months.

:innocent:
