thinking about moving to the area but want to know what other people think of it?

anyone live locally or know the area and can tell me the positives / negatives?

My great granparents used to live there but I can barely remember it. I think it used to be pretty rough but might have changed a bit in the last 15 years. Sorry that's not much help is it! :)

Ian, dont know too much about Catrine - even though it is only about 20 miles away from myself. But I see that your avator states "Borders" , I take it you've moved south from Inverness then ??

yes mate.

i'm down living with the parents now just south of Hawick.

gf is still up in Glasgow though and we're thinking of buying a place in ayrshire as prices aren't so steep.
