hello and Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo! Keighley should be avoided at all costs, unless you are bored and fancy a trip out anyway. If you are in the Newcastle area you need to be speaking with a chap called Jurgen who is on here, a fine reputation for good vehicles, unlike Keighley Trade Centre.

Hi. Not being funny mate, by the prices Jurgen & co have cars up for are generally exceptional value for money and give you a lot of car for the money.

If you think the prices seem steep, you need to make sure you can afford the running costs because these car's aren't cheap to run. You reallly ought to budget for (expensive) repairs too as these cars are getting on a bit and buying 'cheap' may be a mistake.

Don't get me wrong, I know he sells quality, but I dont have £11k - £15k which is what his current stock is at. Got a budget of £8k, and thats to allow for repairs etc later on, and also any mods I wanna make on the way.

Theres some bad cars out there and thats why I need to look first, I just know that they can't have all bad cars, otherwise they'd be closed. Gotta be worth a look in other places too.

Couldn't get the car from work, never got the chance. Might go over the weekend.

I know they have a mixed reputation (not all bad stories) which is why I am going with an air of caution. Anything I buy will be checked by my mechanic within days, as I have been burned before.

Mixed? Have you heard good feedback from someone then?

I've been there lots of times for my own amusement, I wouldn't dream of buying a car from them.

Good to hear you have someone to inspect the car but by the time they look at it won't it be too late? Better to take a mechanic with you, they might save you from parting with money...

After a load of hassle with a previous car, I now know that as a Consumer of goods you have the right to take it back within 28 days and get a full refund. After that period its down to the sellers discression.

Think its only health and safety reasons that stop that being a law that covers everything, things like underwear basically.

Digger dude, welcome.

Listen to these guys!! I went to KTC before I joined this forum, and knew nothing about cars at the time. Luckily the one I was looking at wouldn't start - they said it needed some fuel! That put me off and I never went back!!

If you've got a good bloke to go with you to look at the cars then fine but if you find one that's in good shape I'd be suprised - plus I wouldn't trust it not to blow something within a year if it is found to be good.

For 8k you should be able to find a reasonable one second hand off here. Probably need to be an auto though and you may have to consider an NA.

I stretched my budget to buy a Supra 2 years ago, and was amazed at how much I spent on it (Average about £350 a month!!), now sold for a mortgage and there's NO WAY I could afford one at the moment.

You need to be sure you can afford owning one before jumping in - especially jumping in one from Keighley!!
