edge
I was just wondering what else if anything has to be done to the engine internals and/or ecu when bolting on bigger turbo/s. Im Ok as far as basic servicing goes and can look after a car but have never got involved in things such as performance mods. Ive seen bolt on kits available like this for example CLICK HERE it says 120 hp + on stock engine safely. So how far can a standard lump go? thought maybe it will need more fuel from better pump injectors etc(and how do you guage how big you need stuff). As i said im new to all the mods and would leave it to the pro's to get there hands dirty but it would be nice to understand a little better. Many thanks Jim

JamieP
Standard lump can safely handle 500/600bhp, a few push them harder though. There is loads you can do, do a serch for pistons/rods etc and im sure you will find some decent threads to read.
