Boost Controller Problem!

Finally got around to testing my new Blitz SBC I-colour today, fitted it last weekend, can't get it to boost over .6 bar

no matter what settings:( boost gauge is working ok so the electronics are working, so there is either a existing problem with the pipework or the solenoids are not getting power or working, it will make the same boost without the controller,

the only way i can think of testing, apart from checking there is a voltage reaching the solenoid, is to supply a pressure source to the sensor and the solenoid and see if it will operate the solenoid, anyone have any other ways to test or other ideas of what could be wrong?

Dick are you using it in auto mode? If so try manual mode and see if it works then.

Tried both Nic, i will go over the connections with a meter tomorrow, and then see if i can simulate a pressure signal of 1.1 bar and see if it will work, i'm hoping its down to a pipework or actuator problem, as there is nothing else left to go wrong in TTC mode.

Have you checked the wg setup option is correct?

Probably a silly thing to ask but I assume you used the instructions with the correct settings for the Supra that Nic has ?

Yes i did mate, thanks! and yes its set to AC actuator option, i did double check all the settings and could find nothing amiss unfortunately.

OK did all the checks that i outlined in the first thread, and everything checks out, suppled .6 bar to the sensor and the solenoids chatter, so it looks like the controller is fine:) so the next step is to try it on the road again and double check some of the other vacuum pipes, have to wait until tomorrow now as i have to stay in:(

These boost problems must be doing your head in by now! I know I felt like torching my car a few times until I finally fixed it (after about eight months).

A little, but i won't quit until i solve it, or go single;)

OK update, after a bit of fafing around i can now get it to boost over .6 bar, it takes a seating of 60 and a gain of 50 to get just over 1.0 bar but at least its nice and stable, spool up does seem better:)

Wow, on mine 36 is 1.5bar and gain is set at 10

Yeah it is set high, but i think its something to do with the way my TTC mode is set up.

Just make double sure it isn't the gauge that you are comparing against which is fux0red you could be hitting 2bar.

I'm sure you have checked against this yourself but worth noting for future searchers!

Good point! but yes i have two gauges and two other data references for boost, nothing like a backup plan:)

Been reading through this. Exact same problem Dick but with the SBC-ID. I can't boos over 0.76 bar at all, no matter what the Set/Gain settings and all channels are in Manual Mode.

My Mechnical Boost Gauge also shows 0.76 bar, but when Chris tested my car with his Motec, he said it reached 1.1/1.2 happily.

Very confused as to what the problem could be.

I just kept winding the set boost and the gain up until i got to 1 bar,

you could try testing it as i outlined in the earlier post.

Thanks Trick. Just a bit worried as Chris mentuioned my car boosting fine and so winding up the boost on my BC could adversely cause her to boost to around 2 bar!

I had an issue with my car hitting 1.6 bar on gain and set on 1, also with the Blitz SBC ID Turns out the vacuum pipe for the boost controller was in the wrong place and getting an incorrect reading.... might be worth checking...

Thanks mate. Does anyone have a wiring diagram, or rather vaccum piping setup for this?
