Will you altenators fit straight onto a J spec car?

I will jump in here and confirm that they will. I am using the PHR 175a version on my J spec. No fitment issues.

I'll be having one of these lovely 175amp bajobbys. :)
A P.M. with shipping charges to the UK is fine. Hope I dont get a massive customs bill?.

I know I'm sounding a bit odd here, but why fit a bigger alternator?

Huge ICE system or some high power lighting?

I run twin electric fans, 8 gauges, boost controller, DVD sat nav, 2 amplifiers, 12" sub, 3 pairs of 6k HID lights, Tein electronic suspension controller, turbo timer and soon to have a water injection pump to run as well.

Okay fair point..

Anyone ever wired in an alternator management system, similar to the BMW system, which dis-engages the alternator's load when you are accelerating with gusto..

Thats funny Joe I am sure Mark said he had to source another type of plug for yours and spent ages looking for the right one?

Terry, I can only assume that my plug was not included or I was supplied with the wrong one or it was misplaced/lost. When Mark told me about the issue with the plug I contacted Dusty and asked him to see what the deal was and he said the correct plug should have been included with the alternator. ;)

Trust me Joe, Mark wouldn't have misplaced/lost it, he is far too anal ;)

No fitment issues for me, but I did have to dig through my box of old bolts for the top bracket, as the original bolt is unthreaded and the thickness of said bracket is too thin to use the original bolt. This is on the 150A version though, not sure whether the 175A is the same.

Also, mine can with a 6" cable adaptor to connect it all up.

Could not tell you what I paid for the 175a version as I bought a bunch of other stuff at the same time.

I would expect so yes. It was about $100 for postage though.

Sorry guys, been away from the office for a few days. Both the 175 amp and 150 amp alternators have adapter cables to adapt from the round Toyota connector to the oval MKIV Supra style electrical connector. If ever you dont get that included in the package, all you have to do is email us directly! We also include the mounting bracket (yes it does fit the Jspec Supra also) and hardware to mount the bracket. The 175 amp version includes a 2 gauge charge cable to run to the battery also. We normally keep them in stock, or at most it would be a 3 day wait for one.

Shipping is between $150 and $180 USD to ship to the UK, due mainly to the weight!

Polishing is an extra $200 on either model and readily available.

Cheers!
