Stupid DVD Rw Question

Hi guys

Being a nob here as I do not "back up" alot of stuff however just salvaged an old DVD RW+ from an old PC and just found out all my DVD RW's are -. Is there any way for a RW+ to copy onto a - or is it a hardware thing and not software??

Sure, stick it in a DVD+RW reading drive, copy it to your PC, write it to a DVD-R disc.

All new DVD writers support both formats and have done for a while. It's a hardware thing.

hmm my writer only supports + :( well think its time to get a new one cant be much more than a 10er these days.
