PHR Stage 1 Turbo Kit

Hey guys,

Was just wondering what you all thought about this piece of kit as I'm very tempted to go down the N/A-T path, seeing as all the TT guy are constantly slating the N/A and I have always wanted to have the boost sensation.

Also if anyone is running this I would like to know how its been for them and whether or not they would recommend it.

Thanks Fellas

Thats supposed to be a very good kit. Personally, I would go with a Supra TT first and then convert that to a single rather than a NA.

I just believe its better to start with a design that was built by Toyota for FI.

Also - for me, Singles work best with Manuals and not with Autos.

TBH - I am not a fan of Autos full stop, but each to their own.

If you are buying a kit then let me know, perhaps if we bought it together we could end up with a discount.

Huh? Where did you get that from?

The engines are different right, the compression ratios, Cam profiles, pistons, etc.....

One is designed to be NA and then other FI; now if you would like to go down the route of a single turbo - from my point of view it would make sense to start from the right base (hence the Supra TT engine).

Hehe, thanks for the response fellas, and I agree that starting with a TT and going single is alot better unfortunately I'm a poor man and my supe is keeping me that way so upgrading what I've got is the only option (apart from selling it  ).

I'll look into it further imi as I'm going in for the ol'gumball this year so might be able to get trade price and if we're buying together maybe more of a discount :eyebrows: if I am going ahead with it I'll let you know.

It would probably work out quite a bit cheaper to sell yours and buy a TT instead, compared to fitting a turbo kit on your NA.

The PHR products are very high quality, I have used a number of their parts on my single kit.
