Rico2006
Anyone here fitted one? I fitted one about 2 years ago to my last Soop, this one is being a complete FU**ER. Looking from the front, the right hand side, where the U-Shaped pipe goes back into the engine just wont fit. The aircon connectors that go to the little cooler on the front are blatantly sitting there, laughing at me. Theres no way i can get the pipework back into the engine bay without removing or forcefully bening them. Im tempted to rip all the aircon out as it doesnt work anyway. ARGH!!!!! mikeyb10supra
When I fitted mine I needed to hack away at the drivers side wing to fit the pipe that attached to your manifold....so thats the first tricky bit, the second tricky part is the air con pipes you mentioned, you should have got a bracket with your intercooler kit that lowers the air con pipes, so your IC pipe can fit?? if I remember correctly the air con pipes are split by a litle rubber bobbin which you need to undu (PLEASE NOTE, BE VERY CAREFULL HERE AS YOU CAN UNDO THE WRONG ONE AND LOSE ALL YOUR AIR CON GASS SO MAKE SURE ITS A BRACKET AND NOT A SCREW ATTACHED TO A PIPE) when this is undone you can drop the pipes and bolt to the new bracket!! it certainly was a pain in the ass from start to finish to be honest

squiffy
carefull with the ac pipes mate, its nasty stuff in there!
Rico2006
Just noticed that the first radiator isnt the main one - is the first radiator for the AirCon? If so, i think im gonna rip it all out as i never use Aircon ( thats what windows are for) and its seriosly affecting the airflow to the rad. Rico2006
carefull with the ac pipes mate, its nasty stuff in there! good point... i dont think i can just depressure the air con and remove it as its not allowed to be vented to air.. colsoop
I removed mine recently, i think to get it to fit the stock bumper was trimmed slightly to allow the u shaped pipe to clear that area.
SimonB
If you mean the pipes in front of the rad then that's the power steering cooler. The FMIC kit should have come with a U shaped tube replacement and some rubber hose to connect it up.
Rico2006
Power Steering was relocated to a Mocal oil cooler in the side vent. Air-con was the sod. All done now though, thanks.
