Tyre Sizes

Afternoon all,

Before I get flamed, I have tried a search but came up inconclusive:D I have just bought a set of wheels and need to know what size tyres to ask for.

They are 19" with a 10.5" rear and 9.5" front. The car is sitting very low at the moment and has 17", with 40 profile on the rear and 45 on the front currently, with no rubbing.

Also, should the rusty ass nuts on my existing wheels be ok for the time being until I can get hold of some nice shiny new ones?

Finally, where do all you Dorset and Hampshire guys get good deals on your tyres from? :)

19" with a 10.5" rear and 9.5" front.

I have been offered 295/35 ZR 19's for the rears and 275/30 ZR19's for the fronts

9.5" fronts with 275 wide tyres? That's mad.

I presume you'd have mentioned if it was a TRD widebody or somesuch.

Mate are you sure about the widths? The width measurement should be taken in-between the outer rim/flange, so only the flat part when you look from top and the wheels are vertical. I say this as I made this mistake recently ;)

I run 235/45/19 & Goodyear F1 Eagle GSD3 275/30/19. Depends on offset but 285 is probably max on rear without problems. If you're not running big power then 275 on the back will be fine.

My car is lowered, I have no probs on the back. The front tyres rub with the front of the arch lining only on full lock.

As for the nuts - It depends on the wheels. I had to use different nuts when I moved from my 18"s to 19"s.

Your car height will probably go up slightly.

Edit - If you know of a local place that puts tyres on for cheap then try http://www.Blackcircles.com

Cheers,

Ro

I might have to measure them again, I measured the distance between the face and rear of the rim.

They are Mania pacifics if that helps at all, anyone with these wheels? What size tyres are you using?

Ahh! - They will be 9.5" rear and 8.5" front then!

Lots of people with Mania Pacifics - I use the tyres as on my post above - Jazz1 is selling those new and cheap

Jazz's tyres in the 'Other items' for sale section look good vfm.......not sure 235 are wide enough for the 9.5" fronts though?

iv got these 235 and they are perfect fit on my 9.5 inch front wheel i was hoping the good years would be stretched but they are not my continental 245 were better stretched
