I went for a Sealed enclosure.

Based on the model of sub - the associated volume should be available on that link. When you bought the sub, you should have received the info either in the manual or on a piece of printed A4.

i didnt get any info at all. see theres 3 options for sealed enclosure.. SPL, reccomended, and sound quality, all with different volumes :search:

OK, according to that link, the sound quality and recommended options use acoustic FILL (I guess this is the material that one put in the sub box in order to reduce destructive interference) while the 1st option doesnt.

all you need is fiber glass and resin and MDF to do the sub rings

are you saying the sub box/sub?, I thought Type X was the flagship (closest to the F1) model from Alpine.

Sorry just wanted it cleared up, as I am currently looking for a 12" type X

The type x is definately one of the best subs around. if you check a few previous threads ive started, apparently its got too much output to make ears pop :d mine should hopefully be fitted this weekend so if you want you can always come round and check it out. except mine is a 10'' but im sure it will reach my expectations. running it off a 1500watt amplifier, alpine head unit and alpine mids in the rear and front.

:)
