New AEM Tuning Software

I just downloaded the new beta software for AEM ECUs.

Not sure if I like it though, the old one works pretty well for me :tongue:

Do you have a link to it Wez, I had a (very) cursory glance at the AEM site and couldn't see it.

It needs a pretty good laptop and ideally widescreen resolution.

So it's just a new front end? That's a little dissapointing. I was hoping that a few of the features that poeple are continuously asking for would have been included.
They really need to sort out the 3D graphs before final release though. Also I hope that they get some kind of dashboard back in there. It was quite useful when you were doing some mapping to be able to switch to a dashboard that you could keep an eye on.

One of the main improvements is supposed to be the logging is now in the same application.

There is talk of some tracking features but not read too much about it yet.

Yeah I spotted that. Still not really any added functionality though.

I think added functionality for the car is done in the firmware and as you say this is just a front end mod.

To be honest at the moment I prefer the current software to this new stuff, it works on pretty much any laptop and doesnt need a massive resolution, my laptop only supports 1024x768 :(

Why did they have to write it with .net framework.

I've not tried it on my laptop. My thinkpad 600 only just about copes with AEMPro!
