warning light? ! surronded by two lines ?

I haven't got my maul too hand. Ihave just bought rear brake pads as they desperately need doing. would this be the light for pads. Basically the warning light in centre of console is on and the warning light indicating an exclamation mark and two curved lines on either side ?

Think it is the brake light, sorry but tired, I know it sounds daft but is the handbrake fully off? Is the red triangle in the centre on to?

If it is that light then it can also indicate low brake fluid.

IIRC there's no sensor for brake pad warning. It'll be for fluid.

cheers for that. I'll check the fluid. at least its the brakes and the rears are due to be done if dry on saturday. not long done fronts! ta
