Right my horn wasnt working....

Took old horn off and brought the comapct twin air horn (nautilus) from Halfords.

Got it home , arsed around with it for ages, couldnt get it to fit anywhere so tried it out anyway off the car,Nothing , not a peep...

checked connections all seem okay, checked the hazard flashers (same fuse as the horn~) okay, shit... must have blown the relay.. or the new horn is faulty.....

went back to Halfords and explained that it could be faulty but its also Too big, got refund and brough the baby elec nautilus.
Got home bonnet up , and as usual it started throwing it down....incidentley its now rained every single day since the 7 Dec .....

this horn fits , attached to car did wires , tried horn nuffin.....really getting arsed off now, I must have blown the replay before as I didnt use the replay provided with the horn....

Lat effort.. went back to the bin and got the original one out and wired it up straight to the battery , it works .... OH NO, ,,,,

anyway to cut an extremely long and boring story short, there was a bad earth to the body, all that was required (2 horns later and high blood pressure) was to undo one nut , a little sanding and replace bolt..

I have now put the original back on with the mini small one from Halfords, sounds okay actually , if a little high pitched.

The Moral of the story , NEVER OVERLOOK the blatently obvious:D :D :D

Well I hate to say this but we recently had exactly the same problem and several horns later found that it was a bad earth as well. So take comfort in the fact that you are not alone ;)
