hey anyone who can help just got my car back after getting the thor fcd fitted( jspec man tt) by an auto electician, its now idling a bit lower halfway between 0 and 1000rpm. its spluttering away like it gonna cut out its never done that before seems to be driving ok apart from that, anyone any ideas as to what could be causing this, do u think its been fitted wrong. i dont know much about them apart from it stops fuel cut there my knowledge ends lol

Could try resetting the ECU, then going for drive to see if that helps.

i had this exact problem,

Thor must be giving out a bad batch of FCD's take out the FCD and get it replaced, all will be good again

thanks mate does the ecu need reset anyway after fitting a fcd cos i know thats not been done or do u just wire it up and thats it

Always worth a try. If not could be a faulty FCD as mentioned.

I seem to remember someone testing a Thor FDC and finding it modulated some nasty square wave onto the map sensor signal.

If your auto electrical bloke has a scope get him to test it.

does the ecu need reset anyway after fitting a fcd cos i know thats not been done Did he not disconnect the battery while fitting the FCD?

i had this problem as well thor said they had a batch with wrong chip, i spoke to pete at thor and he replaced it FOC
