Another wow - is just sitting there and pondering, not existing...being dead, though you come from nothing, the thought of going back to nothing after just a few years...is hard to comprehend.

No wonder people make up things like the after life and the resurrection...

Exactly the way I see it, which is why I think I need some therapy. I don't want to not exist.

I read somewhere that a trip into space will now cost you about £250,000. Can't see the point myself, there is no atmosphere! ;)

A boom boom, chhhhhh!

He's here all week, apparently.

That picture really does make you think how naive people are that think there is no other lifeforms out there.

As for johnnyknox's joke - that was so awful it becomes mildly amusing:d

I think...therefore I am.

wow, that's great! And to think after 20 years of education and god only knows how many attempts - all it took was a little blue dot to get me thinking!!

Seriously though, makes you wonder why? why all the pain and suffering over such a small place? are humans that naive that they believe they are the most superior life form in the galaxy?

HAH HAH, you earthlings and this puny planet make me laugh!

When will you realise this maggot infested rat hole you call home is only a pimple on the arse of my fabulous planet Zeecon 69.

Also you have to think that the dot picture was only taken 4 billion miles away - a single light year is approximately 1500 times further than that!! Our closest star (other than the Sun) is 4 times further than that!!!!! That's just the CLOSEST star to us!!!!!!!

This stuff makes my brain hurt ......

In August 2006, Voyager 1 was 9.3 billion miles away.

Traveling at a speed of about one million miles per day, Voyager 1 could cross into interstellar space within the next 10 years....and STILL not find a woman to sleep with Ed.

truly humbled.
The human brain cannot take the universe and such in, as In our existance everything has a beginning and an end.
