View Full Version : Dyno'ing New Hyrbids......
How long should I leave it before I can get my newly built Hybrids dyno'd.......?
I asked dude this (when he fitted them) he said "till the end of the drive"
We say 500 miles and yes when its mapped, unless you are having a tunign session at the same time.
Erm, Im on a stock ECU, but have a SAFC in...........never had them mapped last time.....???
Heckler, thats Dudes answer to everything :D

LOL - true...
Are you expecting any power gains with those hybrids over stock, if so how much?
can I also ask you how much those hybrids set you back / Warranty, etc?
I had an increase from 357 rhhp to 390 rhhp using Hybrids over stock.......a hybrid conversion through Envy will cost £1300 for the pair and I believe they come with a years warrenty.......but best speaking with Envy......
Turbos do not need any running in. Once mapped, your good to go.
Please read my previous posts as I havent had them mapped, why do you need to get them mapped ?
Im very confused............as I didnt get them mapped last time around and as Im still running a stock ECU I dont see how you can map them ?

I think people are getting wires crossed mate, you can't map the stock ECU :)

I guess, in order to get increased power from the turbos you will need to up the boost maybe. If that is the case, then you will need to map the car for that boost using a boost controller + fuelling (SAFC at the very least).....
How else will the same size turbos provide more power?
Well if people took notice of the mods I actually have you will see I have a SAFC, but I do plan on getting a BC and 550's........so that is classed as mapping...... ;)
Suprash, my plan was to get an EMU and buy some drop in PE550s mate and have a full fitting and mapping session at Thor Racing. However, at over £1,000 for the lot, and the rest, it's quite expensive just for hybrid turbos with little, but more reliable than stock, performance gains.
I'll probably go down the SAF-II route at some stage instead, although not much of a saving still.
