I've just spent the last hour trawling through the various pages on this subject. Can anyone confirm if this is correct?

Autoleads PC9-411, this the lead listed in the Autoleads catalogue for the MkIV Supra. This converts the plugs that fit into the back of the OEM stereo into an ISO connection and uses the stock amp if fitted.

Autoleads PC2-17-4, this is listed in the Autoleads catalogue for the MkIII Supra but will fit into the OEM amp wiring of the MkIV and bypass the amp. As shown in this thread:

Also Autoleads FP-11-01 is the correct adaptor plate to go single DIN?

And Autoleads FP-006 is the correct tray to fill the gap left by the smaller head unit? This is the same as part number FP-006-H?

You want PC2-17-4 for Supra IV.It bypasses the standard amp.

I just fitted my new head unit yesterday, replacing a hideous looking (and sounding!) double DIN Kenwood CD/tape deck with a much nicer single DIN Sony head unit (CDX-GT500). I used a PC2-17-4 harness (thus bypassing the stock amp) and an FP-006 pocket to fill the lower half of the double DIN space. All screwed in reasonably easily and took about 2 hours (some of those dash connectors are damn hard to get out!).

I didn't use an FP-11-01 as I screwed both the single DIN Sony unit and the pocket to the stock harness directly. All looks pretty neat to me!

a little bit of a hijack:innocent:
i am about to attempt fitting a new single din. If i bipass the amp under the seat with PC2-17-4 autolead. Is it easy enuff to wire up a small amp and rear box instead? or can i use the rear wiring of the boot speaker (GZ model) for a new bass speaker? or will the stereo sound as good without attaching to the amp and big bass jobby? i put focals in front and alpines in the back recently using the speaker brackets from a previous thread which sound good enuff for me with the oem unit
anyone keep me right?:D
edit: i also have the pocket bought
