installed dvd

all wiring is correct and ariel was fine before i installed new system now i got correct volts from blue wire out of unit and into loom but when i select radio the ariel wont go up all fuses in drivers foorwell are fine any ideas please im stuck.
nothing has been shortend an electrician wired the plugs on and all i did was plug unit into car????:rolleyes:

blue and white, might just be blue, im talking about car wiring here not the radio loom

i used the blue and that was originaly used the one left on plug unused is blue and white are you saying use that one

tried blue and white as well but still no ariel. anyone any ideas were the loom goes before it gets to ariel its not fuse so is there a relay or somthing to check???

you didnt remove the 2 boxes what sit on the radio cage brackets did u? one of those is the arial ECU

i took out the radio and cd palater originaly with car didnt touch no boxes will check that wires are still in tact may have knocked them when putting new unit in what colour are they and were do they go sounds like a possible area to look at.
will post if success .

the little cage what the radio bolts too it has two boxes above it, like a brown box and a lighter brown box both have plugs going into the rear i think its the dark brown box which is the ecu for the ariel

I had exactly the same problem yesterday after installing my DVD player.Join the blue/white wire in your special adapter harness to the blue wire in the same harness.

I WILL TRY THAT NOW I HAVE NOW TAKEN DARK BROWN ARIAL ECU OUT AND REFLOWED ALL THE JOINTS IN CASE THERE WAS A DRY ONE AS I NOTICED THE LIGHTS ON THE ABS WERE INTERMITANT THAT WAS A DRY SOLDER JOINT BUT THE ARIEL ECU STILL DIDNT WORK WITH REFLOW SO WILL TRY CONNECT A 3 WIRES BLUE TO BLUE ANDBLUE AND WHITE.
I HAVE 12 VOLTS GOING TO ECU BUT NOTHING COMING OUT VIA THE CORRECT COLOURED WIRES GOING TO ARIEL IE GREEN/PINK DOTS AND RED/PINK DOTS :Pling:

well i tried the camera just to see it worked wired up to side lights and put video lead in aux/vid1 port of player but the manual dont mention camera setup it has a orange lead for camera would you know if i set that to live on camera if so what do i press to get it working my mode button goes from tv radio and dvd..???

You gotta phono jack style plug for your camera and you should have red and black wire for camera power feed.Odviously red is power (live when ignition on) and black is earth.Sounds like orange is the live,it should tell you with instructions.

the manual dont mention camera at all other than wire description orange is camera thats it so i need to wire the camera to one reverse light and send a wire from the reverse light live to the orange wire at back of unit so cuttant tells player to swop channel to camera channel video in 1 :search:
