boromfccup
is there any much point of doing a double decat with a1.0 bar rr on and then using a ebc to boost 1.2 bar or do i take the second cat out leave the 1st in 2nd out and boost it with a ebc to 1.2 what do i do for the best and what bar will i get when the 2nd cats just out
uksupra
take both out either get a 2.5 inch decat mad eup or get a 3inch with 2.5 inch restrictor ring, then use a boost controller of any sort to raise the boost if need be, dont raise the boost too high or you could run lean and kill the car... ideally get uprated fuel pump, bigger injectors and then a piggy back or full on mappable ecu where by you can have your fuelling adjusted, on the cheaper scale get the boost raised and have your fuelling monitored on a rolling road to try and make sure its all set right
Nic
Leaving the first cat in and upping the boost with an EBC is not a good idea. The first cat is very restrictive and forcing the turbos to boost higher than stock, will cause dangerously high exhaust temps. Remove both cats for the best results (quicker turbo spool and better response), or just remove the first as a compromise.
