:p At least shes allowed you your monthly post
May pop in and have a burger - :d
120 miles away from me.... 60 of them on the A27 :(
I might go, will see.
We might pop in.
Last time we were down there, Mick Begley was running his Jun Lemon - it made something like 822 BHP!!!!
Awesome.
And there were so many spectators they ran out of burgers :faint:
I'm tempted, would like to know what i'm running before I go crazy with more mods lol :)
What times are the bookees booked ? I'll come over to say hello and watch.
I wanna watch a few before I commit my baby to the rollers. Had my old 6 RR'd and it scared the crap out of me first time round.
james your car wont get on the rollers, unless you jack it up

One thing everyone is not allowed to do is comment on how bad my bodywork is :D
The rollers are really wide - you could fit tyres 2 feet wide on there. Your concern will be getting it onto the ramp up to the rollers - if it's really low, you will definitely need some planks or something to chock it up a bit higher so the lip doesn't ground out.
They've got all that stuff, but you might need to remind them about it, as these open days are pretty busy.

Yup, I told them I was worried about mine grounding and they treated it nice, slow and with care.

that was a little uncalled for :p
It is embarrasing at the moment, cracks, scrapes chips everywhere!!! :blush:Everyone of the road and in car parks has decided to whack it one!! Like you said im not too bothered...but after the respray :fight:
yeh, not looking forward to that myself.
its bad enough trying to avoid chavs damaging ure car when its standard width

Im booked in for an AM run, how busy does this thing get?
They often have about 30 cars to get through, but people kind of drift in and out throughout the day.
i will try and get there about 11ish
I won't be there as it's a friend's birthday, but with a bit of luck my sparkly new engine might! ;) So you can all admire it. :d
they normally like to run all the supras etc in one go, saves setting up the rollers each time

The big speed humps are normally ok, its the little bastard one as you enter the estate at the security hut that always gets me:blink: Unless you crawl over it at 0.005 mph the car comes down with a massive bang!

:run: :hide:
nope, the recovery guys couldnt find the 4th one:d

:iagree: That one got me last time I was down there, knocked the plug out of my wideband under the car.
Mine gets over them OK, even with the new exhaust, and my car's pretty low. Mind you, I had 3 nervous moments coming away from Triton after they'd fitted it.
Got to spend all next week driving them too - I'm helping a mate set up new offices in Basepoint.
I am going to pop along to this for a day out. I am booked in now and will try to get there around 11-12noon.
Better see some other Supra's there ;)
lol, and you have just been on the dyno,
just trying to show us other members up, hey
haha, me, never. :)
It's a day out, any excuse to get the car out now that she's running good. ;)

Cool - perfect time for us to roll up, eat a big juicy burger and see the spectacle. It's always good to get famous cars on these open days.

Ohh good, always wanted to see this car!
I'll probably get there about 9:30am and get on the rollers hopefully before Gamer turns up as I dont want to go afterwards :D
Gamer - put a couple of blocks of wood in your car incase you need them for the speed bumps that way we can get you down there and back out. :)
yeh, jeez,
have you seen the size of the bumps.
you could write off your car
Can't be that bad, can it ?
My car is low but it is not that low, I have never had a problem on any humps yet.
They have some very big speed bumps, but they are also very wide, so are not as much of a problem as you think to start with.
You'll be fine Joe. :)
Just take the first one by the hut very, very slowly.
Sorry I didnt get down to see you lot. I'm ill:(
You missed a good day Ewen.
Quite a good turnout. Mostly Scoobies, but what else do you expect at the Bournemouth Subaru Centre. ;)
WSB2 made a decent figure with the Abflug (397 I think) but went early and missed Gamer running CJZ82. :)
Bit of a hassle getting CJZ on to the rollers as they had to keep blocking it up so it wouldn't scrape. And at one stage it slipped sideways at the rear - while they were getting it on, not when running. The Triton guys were quite amazed at the beast. :D
God that fan's loud. It almost drowned out the sound of CJZ - not quite though :D
Anyway, I took a couple of pics of Gamer's car going on and a very poor shot of the final result (at 1.2 - it kept blowing the sparks out at 1.5 apparently). No doubt Joe will be along later to explain better than I can.
Nice pics mate.
Just got back in, bit of a disappointment in that I could not run anything over 1.2bar and even that was breaking up a bit at the top. I need new plugs or the ones I have need to be regapped as it was blowing out the spark. Yes, I have a DLI before anyone asks. The plugs in there now have been through quite a bit since I put them in last July or Aug. Since then she's had quite a lot of mapping done with countless RR runs. I can only assume that they need replacing. :search:
I will take them out tomorrow and have a looky loo.
Don't really know if I should put some IK24's in there or some copper plugs. Opinions on a postcard please... ;)
Nice to meet a few of you
Joe
yeh, nice to meet 1 new face,
shame i didnt get to see the abflug up close, as james bird had enough when i arrived, nice figure though james
i did say blocks before joe's car went on,
the do-luck sticks out a fair bit
You missed a good day Ewen
:( I was looking forward to it (and I think I'm gonna miss out on the Basingstoke meet tomorrow) but you lot wouldnt appreciate catching what I've come down with. I require a toilet within a ten foot radius at the mo:d

I had a great day, the guys there were great getting my car on the rollers. Although I did wonder if I was going to collect a tool kit as they put it on :D They gave it 2 runs one at 393 and the other 397 so Im happy :D
Told the Gf single next and she said yes you will be if you spend anymore money on the car :D (I've got the paint job coming up you see)
Gamer - Im running IK24's in mine seem to be doing fine so far. Good to meet usual bunch and nice to see pic of Ryan's black eye :D

Cheers Jamie, I'll get a set. £159 is a bit pricey and I thought IK24's were a bit dear :)
Do the NGK R7436-9's need to be gapped ?
